So I was just wondering how Deadpool's Agent X title was like?

Was it any good?

I saw some covers and thought it looked pretty cool..

Also, are they in trades?

Very, very good. No trades though.

If you want to save money, you can avoid the non-Simone issues. Gail did 1-7, 8-9 was Buddy Scalera (Not terrible, but not great), 10-11 was Evan Dorkin (I didn't like it), 12 was Daniel Way (Quite good) and then 13-15 was Simone again.

Yeah I liked it a lot the first issues are real good and then it kind of slows down around 10ish but picks back up for the final issues. I highly recomend picking them up. I hope they bring it back as an ongoing series, but i doubt that will happen any time soon, or maybe have him team up and work with deadpool for a while since Cable is going to be busy.

For Agent X, I've only read Cable and Deadpool #'s 11-12. I have yet to read Agent X #'s 1-15, but what I saw in CDP was incredible. Give it a try. I should, too.

Yea, yea, a thousand times yea. Gail made me actually care about Deadpool, something I never thought possible. And then she made me care even more about Alex. By all means, get them as quickly as possible.

It was great, the Simone issues. One of the other writers was not only bad, but just utterly, implorably terrible. Eating teeth like popcorn was NOT the character that was established in the first arc.

But overall, WAY awesome, and I was very sad when it was cancelled.

I say go for it. It was a lot of fun to read, especially the interaction with Taskmaster.

Definitely pick it up. Great stuff! I was really disappointed when Deadpool was cancelled, but this made me feel better! It was a great read and should have lasted longer!

It was awesome. It got me back collecting comics regularly. Even better than Cable and Deadpool. If you can get her final issues on deadpool get them too. I think its issues 65-68. You haven't seen anything until you see tiny Rhino on a keychain.

Totally. My favorite part was Deadpool lifting weights at the supervillain gym, surrounded by random AIM and Hydra flunkies begging to carry his towel and get him a sports drink after he (accidentally) carried out that hit on the four Yakuza crime lords. Just hilarious.

"Man wants a towel, get him a towel!"
:D

Also, Outlaw may be the only comic book woman who's actually admitted to having breast implants... you know all the rest have them too because, come on, but Inez is the only one who copped to it.

Deadpool has been really lucky in his writers. First we had Kelly, who made Wade more than just a one dimensional 90's caricature. I loved Kelly's run and really miss the days of Wade hanging at the Hellhouse with T-Ray, Typhoid Mary, Weasel and Blind Alfred. His Spider Man issue alone puts Kelly's run in the legendary column. Then we had Mr. Priest taking over the reigns. Man, what a ride! From Wade living with the Constrictor and Titania, to the spell that made him look like Tom Cruise to Copycat's revenge, this run was pure gold! Then we had Jimmy Palimotti's run. Short run, but a great one. Loved Anna and the Switchblade Sisters! Great stuff. Plus, I can't remember who introduced Kid Deadpool, but he was the BEST SIDEKICK EVER! After than the titled faltered with Tieri's awful run that killed off supporting characters and really was just a vehicle to launch Weapon X...ugh. Never fear tho, cuz Deadpool was rejuvinated by Gail Simone who brought us a great supporting cast in Taskmaster, Outlaw and Sandi and during this run was one of the best moments in comics history: The Rhino Keychain! Simone just continued the good run with Agent X. Now, just when I thought poor Wade would be forever relagated to the odd guest appearance or one of those "this proves that I am a SERIOUS writer" deaths, he returns paired with Cable in a great title written by Fabian Nicieza! I tell ya, Deadpool is one lucky SOB!

Of course yay !! Frankly of all the deadpool series , even if still awesome , Nicieza's CDP is imo the weakest title of the bunch .

I think it's still head and shoulders (and in some cases even more) above Priest, Palmiotti and Tieri runs. (Then again I also didn't care for Scalera and Way on Agent X, but loved Evan Dorkin's two-parter)

For true.

Plus, those runs didn't have the "burden" of Cable.

C&D has its absolutely brilliant moments, but it's a roller coaster of quality. Never bad, often great, occasionally mind-blowingly awesome.

Factor Three respects Agent X's skill with firearms and his adaptable morals. Now that his female companion has left him for the safety of the X-mansion, his jealousy of them will make him a fine pawn in the subjugation of this planet.

Hell yes. The last issues by Simone are worth it all. That one scene where Alex is being chased by anime babes on motorcycles in Japan was pure gold. Some of the funniest one-lines in comic history in that scene alone.
