I'm sick, bored, and it's 6am. Why the hell not?
Here's how it works. Download the mp3 I link to, which contains just a second or two of a particular song. From that snippet, you have to...that's right...name that tune! Song and artist please.
Here's the first one (http://s13.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=270VBUVKRV1962CN7KPMY9KLZ7). It should be pretty easy, especially for anyone who knows my musical preferences (hint - It's not bloody Nickleback!).

It's like I don't even know you...
It's Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA.
Yes, it is. New clip up as soon as YouSendIt gets its act together.

Clearly it's John Cage's "Two strums of the same chord," a famous experiment in harmonic non-progression.

Correct!
Here's the next tune (http://s19.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3GUJQ6PKZUIV33KK329YPAHZYD), now that I've deleted the ID4 tags (that would have been embarrassing!).

It is. I discovered it when it was used in that one episode of the Drew Carey show.

Anybody wanting to stump Spike need only feed him clips of the Counting Crows. He's only ever heard Mr. Jones & Long December.
I've been feeding him clips all night on MSN Messenger, and his skills are truly impressive.
