Where is Warlock/Douglock now. I remember he had a miniseries and ka-poof...he's gone.

Warlock had an ongoing series back in 1999-2000; it was cancelled after 9 issues. He hasn't been seen or mentioned since, nor have his friends Hope and Psimon.

After Excalibur came to an end, with Douglock now firm in the understanding that he was NOT Doug Ramsey, but Warlock - or at least A version of Warlock, as the original was killed - spawned through the Phalanx Covenant storyline, he was given his own ongoing which was cancelled.

I believe at the end of that Warlock left Earth in order to go and expunge the Phalanx from the rest of the universe. He hasn't been seen since, which is a great shame. I would so love to have him back in New Excalibur since the relaunch.

Yeah, Warlock was certainly fun and I miss him as well. To me, he will never do well as a solo character unless he has a very strong supporting cast, more like a Spiderman series, rather than a "solo" book. Which brings up a question I just may ask in another thread in the proper forum...

He didn't leave Earth- the end of the series saw he, Hope, Psimon, Chee-Chee, and Wolfsbane resolving to take a short vacation from his mission of eliminating all traces of the techno-organic virus from Earth. That vacation is now 6 years long and counting.

Basically, he felt guilty for bringing the t-o virus to Earth in the first place, so after gaining access to SHIELD's files in the "Rage Against The Machine" crossover, he started purging t-o experiments, which eventually led him to confront and destroy the Nimrod/Master Mold hybrid called Bastion. Then the Magus returned to Earth and Warlock drove him off.

Personally, I was always hoping he would get around to confronting Cable and/or Apocalypse, since each of them has a form of t-o as well, but never happened.

Ah, you see I never caught the end of the series.

The leaving Earth thing was the answer I was given when I posted an Excalibur...where are they now? thread last year. That was the answer I was given back then.

If he's still on 616 then he should make a return. I'd like to see him him back in Excalibur. But then I'd like to see Rhane back in Excalibur too, and that sure aint happening anytime soon. If he was last seen with her it would actually make more sense for him to appear in X-Factor, although he really wouldn't fit the tone of the book.

yeah. i could do without seeing the other warlock supporting cast members, but i really hope warlock himself pops up again soon. i think he (in his last incarnation) would make a great addition to one of the x-books (well, of the upcoming runs as of now i can only really see him fitting in carey's x-men; bachalo would have a field day drawing him).
i'd be happy if he even just showed up in an issue of unlimited or something.

Yeah, it was a real bummer when he wasn't part of the New Mutants reunion story from X-Men Unlimited a few years back, written by Claremont and drawn by Seinkeiwicz. At the time I wondered why and heard a rumor that the X-office at the time considered him too confusing and not really fitting in with the tone of the X-books, so he wasn't allowed to be included. Don't know if there was any truth to that, though.

he was definitely on the cover (homage, i'll say) for the issue (43).

that issue had a few problems, if i am also remembering correctly.
stuff about rahne and dani (at that time), bobby in the issue, etc.
they definitely teased that issue's cover as a reunion which i'd say it wasn't really in the end.
it ended up being some forgotten cc story and that's about it.

edit, because no one else has posted:
warlock could join the young avengers. his last incarnation could fit in there, if i'm guessing that book's tone correctly. i just posted that he should in some thread on the avengers board, wanted to also mention it here.
