Check out this story that was just posted on The Pulse (http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=004890)!
Ennis and Robertson on a brand new original work for Wildstorm comics! If you're not excited by this, you simply don't like good comics. Ennis doing what he really ought to be doing, original creator-owned work, joined by the artist of Transmetropolitan means that this should be a knockout. It's just too bad we have to wait until October but hey, at least it's coming out this year.

Sounds like a good concept and I'll definitely check out the first two-part arc. I don't think I've ever read anything by Ennis (though I do want to get to Preacher one day) and if I've ever read anything pencilled by Robertson I'm certainly not aware of it.
I thought his comments on his experiences with Marvel were rather interesting. I'm not saying it's indicative of the entire company or how everyone feels (because it obviously isn't) but it's certainly different to hear from someone who doesn't feel like everything is sunshine and lollipops ;)

This looks good. Kind of like Black Razors meets Justice League: Elite, but with it's own carved out WSU, it's got the potential freedom to go out in the same waters Planetary.
I'm going to do my AMERICAN duty and check this series out this Fall.

Some parts of it read as though DR had been given a pretty strict script from DC, but otherwise it sounds like it should be an awesome comic.
The premise reminds me a bit of Desolation Jones, but instead of keeping an eye on the intelligence community, they're keeping an eye on the super-community.
I'll definately check out the first 2 parter.

Screw Midnighter, this is the sort of thing I want! (That and Gail Simone's superhero retirement home story)

kind of brings back memories of Stormwatch: TA, the team that was put together specifically to police SPB's. only this seems a lot darker and original in it's own way.
when they asked the question about what universe this was going to be set in, that caught my attention. i thought what it would be like to see these mothers take on the likes of Majestic or the Authority. but i guess containing them in another universe gives the creative team that much more freedom.
looks like another winner for Wildstorm.

I haven't really enjoyed most of the stuff Garth Ennis has done since Hellblazer and Preacher, to be honest I've found his run on Punisher to be a bit unremarkable (I loved the appearances of Spider-man and Wolverine way back when though), he has the ability to be one of the most exciting creators working in comics and understands the medium brilliantly so hopefully a new book will bring out the old Garth Ennis we know and love, cant wait!

lol - I thought the same thing. Lets hope this new series makes us forget the fiasco of his Ghost Rider stint.

When I first heard the concept of this book, I thought, "Oh, another chance for Garth Ennis to show us how stupid super-hero comic books are. Pass."
But I was really impressed by the passion demonstrated by the creative team in that article. And the art - WOW! That looks good. (And the glimpse into the creative process was neat too.)
I still have some reservations about how silly the book will get, but I'll at least give it a try.

Preacher plus Transmetropolitan equals GOLD!
Maybe there will be a guest appearance by Cassidy the vampire.

Being that Preacher is my all-time favorite book, this got my attention and will get my money.

I don't think I've ever read anything by Ennis (though I do want to get to Preacher one day)
Do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it DO IT NOW!!!!
Preacher is without a doubt one of my top five books of all time. . .and I thought the same thing as some of these guys - if this is going to "'out Preacher' Preacher," it's one I will DEFINATLEY check out!
Robertson was got some great chops - I've missed him recently, and Ennis is just gold.
I think this will be one to watch!!!
(In other Ennis news, anyone else psyched for the rumored five issue Hitman storyline he and McCrea are gearing up to do in JLA Classified?)
