So far they have only revealed 3 of the 4 Horsemen. Gaser, Sunfire, and Gambit. Pestilence was shown briefly, but indication of who it is? Anyone have any guesses? I was hoping for Omega Red, but we can't always get what we want.

I'm thinking it's going to end up being Polaris, or some sort of amalgam of Doop, Lorna, and the Leper Queen. After all, Apocalypse's Sphinx appeared right before those three disappeared.
What I'm wondering, is if Milligan will ever get around to solving the Doop mystery and the Leper Queen mystery before he leaves the title, as he invvested time in their developments. That's why I'm assuming they're going to resolve during this last arc.
But I guess it remains to be seen.

Yep. They referred to her as a 'She' or 'Her' in the recent issue.
And there were only 2 females on the list for possible Horseification.
Polaris and Mystique. Ergo, it's likely going to have to be Polaris. :)

I forgot that Dani Moonstar was on the list as well, but she's appeared elsewhere so I'm ruling her out. Same as with Mystique being in Adjectiveless X-Men right now. :)

Can't be just her, she'd have to at least be merged with Polaris. Since there's one Horsemen still accounted for, and the list that came out was to feature three of the four horsemen, with the fourth being the new character.... aka, Gazer. :)

Gazer wasn't on the list of three. And we know the 4th is female, that leaves Polaris.

The Leper Queen hates mutants and is a cold blooded killer, so she would be a perfect pick.

It's probbaly some weird amalgm of The Leper Queen/Polaris and Daap. Or some combination of them. Ugh.

What if it's Cecelia Reyes. That'd make sense too, being she's a Doctor and all. Plus at the beginning of this new Decimation stuff. Col. Reyes said she's missing. And he's stuck around for quite a while in the X-Books. Maybe there's a connection.

Figured it was something like that. Guess if it works and is interesting do it again. When was the last time (besides this time) it was done?

Can't be, she wasn't on the list. Unless there's a last minute switcharoo where one of the other characters replaces a current horsemen, then the only possibility left is Polaris. :)

Trevor -- The Horsemen speculation is running rampant throughout the Internet. What teases can you give the fans to help them try and piece together their identities?
Mike Marts -- The Horsemen of Apocalypse will be the usual four—Pestilence, Famine, War and Death—though none of them will be any characters we’ve previously seen as Horsemen. I will tell you this however…at least one, perhaps even two Horsemen positions will be filled by X-Men.
And, as a special exclusive hint for you UncannyXMen.net fans…I can tell you that three of the Horsemen will be from this group of twelve:
Avalanche
Beast
Dani Moonstar
Dark Beast
Erg
Gambit
Havok
Mystique
Ozymandias
Polaris
Sebastian Shaw
Sunfire

Nope, that was after Polaris, the Leper Queen, and Daap were pulled into the sky. :)

If the list holds true, then I would say Polaris, though its looks as if its The Leaper Queen. It does'nt say how much time has passed between the time they disapeared, and when alex returned to the mansion. The figure appears to be thin and female, I'm gonna say polaris.

I suppose it IS an amalgam of Polaris, Leper Queen, and Doop/Daap. That would account for the "not the Lorna we love" Lorna for Brubaker's team.

stop saying that. Gaser wasnt on the list. It said that SOME people from the list would be horsemen, leaving room for outsiders as well. besides you ruling out mystique because shes in Adjectiveless is pointless because Polaris is going to be in uncanny.

No, that's not what it said. What it said was that three of the characters on that list would be Horseman. And the 4th one would be a new character. I can pull up the link if you don't believe me. Gazer was the 4th one, and a new character introduced by Milligan a few issues before. And I'm ruling out Mystique because she's in Adjectiveless currently. She can't be in Africa in armor, if she's standing right there. :p

In regular X-men continuity: 3 times: The originals in X-factor (Abraham Kieros, Autumn, Plague and Archangel), The Twelve (Deathbird, Ahab, Caliban and Wolverine) and now this version.
If you add alternate realities: Age of Apocalypse (Abyss, Sinister, Holocaust and Mikhail.. previously Bastion (not MU's Bastion), Maximus the Mad, Gideon, Candra, and two others), Mutant X (appareantly the original X-factor ones, but slightly different), Cable&Deadpool (Cable, Blob, Spider-Man and Archangel).. probably some others as well.

Wasn't the Hulk the Horseman War once? I never read Hulk comics, but I ToyBiz recently did the Hulk Classics line and came out with a Hulk as War action figure.
Anyway, back on topic, I think it must be the Lepper Queen as pestilence.
If you look up Leprosy, the disease on google, I found a page that said this:
Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae, an acid-fast, rod-shaped bacillus. The disease mainly affects the skin, the peripheral nerves, mucosa of the upper respiratory tract and also the eyes, apart from some other structures. Leprosy has afflicted humanity since time immemorial. It once affected every continent and it has left behind a terrifying image in history and human memory - of mutilation, rejection and exclusion from society.
Leprosy has struck fear into human beings for thousands of years, and was well recognized in the oldest civilizations of China, Egypt and India. A cumulative total of the number of individuals who, over the millennia, have suffered its chronic course of incurable disfigurement and physical disabilities can never be calculated.
And with Apocalypse stating that he doesn't care if you are human or mutant, as long as you are the strongest to survive (which is why he is planning on decimating the human population to 10% and not just killing every human outright), I could see him choosing a human subject to want to test on to make a horseman, and the Lepper Queen fits the bill nicely.
Which really doesn't explain where Lorna and Daap come into play. Perhaps Poccy spliced some Daap DNA into the Lepper Queen (since we know Doop had a slight healing factor, his relatives must have similar powers). Maybe Lorna was used as a catylist?

Yes, but he was a standalone, no other Horsemen at the time.

Could the Leper Queen be Malice in some new body? And she would keep her face covered since her face doesn't go from body to body with her. While I cannot think of a good reason she'd be the Leper Queen, it's just an idea. Cause she used to love mutants and stuff. Then it could reasonably be the Leper Queen and Polaris.
Beyond that, though, it's possible that they changed it from the list last minute. Or were purposely misleading us, like that whole "Dead means dead." So I don't trust editors 100%, at all.
And Choitoy-excellent post. Good research. I like it when people look stuff up and bring something new to the boards. 10 points.

Not to mention that her name is the Leper Queen (Leprosy) and the Horseman left is Pestilence. I think it's too great a coincidence to have two disease themed characters tied up in this, and for there not be a relation to each other.
