I highly recommend it...probably the best Post-HoM series that's been a very enjoyable read. I've never been a fan of Q'Silver or the Inhumans until now.

Well, I still don't know jack about the Inhumans, but it's been really fun looking in at how their society functions. Cool stuff.

I wonder how everyone's powers are gonna backfire on them? I suppose Hub will like teleport/explode into pieces, Unus will be crushed and implode by his forcefield, Freakshow will probably grow so big and montrous that his body cant handle it, Wicked's dead family and stuff are probably gonna haunt her and **** with her, Hacks' telepathic abilities will probably go outta control and make him go insane, and Purge's muscles will probably grow too big and um mess him up.

It's VERY good to finally get an update of the cast of Excalibur after all this time. Hopefully the great Dark Beast shows up and it's always fun to get more characterization on Shola and Wicked(her parents sure liked calling her a tramp, didn't they?).But Quicksilver's rationalizations are funny. His "gift" to Magneto was for the entire superhero population believe he altered the world for some selfish need to alter the world in his image. Magneto was the front man for Wanda and Pietro's vision and he sees it as a "gift", eh? Can't wait to see Magneto's reaction to Pietro's methods being used on not only the remaining mutants of Genosha but his own daughter.

I don't think breathing the mists is an instant death sentence - I doubt QS and Luna will die. But it's going to get interesting. Can't wait for Mags to drop in!!

Besides, Shola did not breath the mists yet and Wicked is already feeling the effects. I'm sure the rest wont breath it after seeing what's happening with poor Wicked.

I wonder why the Mists are affecting them in this way? And why do Luna and Quicksilver need repeat exposures? Shouldn't one "hit" be enough to maintain their powers? I also wonder why Quicksilver doesn't go to the original site of Attilain in the Himalayas and get some Terrigen fro m there--Maelstrom did some years ago. I'm guessing there's gonna be some BS reason why mutantkind in general can't be re-empowered by the mists, and the ones who regained their abilities will probably loose them a gain. :rolleyes:

I guess technically, TNW did name herself... It still beats "Wicked". I mean, just because there was the hit musical :p based on the bestselling book doesn't mean there needs to be a superhero with that name. I bet his next character will be called Noob, since apparently everybody's saying that. :rolleyes:

Not to totally bash CC's recent creations. I didn't pick up Excalibur III, but I'm glad his cast is making an appearance, if only to make a propper exit.

I never read Excalibur v3---can someone fill me in on Wicked? I liked the covers she was on and her powers were really awesome compared to where she was---all those dead ghosts from Genosha? Brilliant. Can she use the ghosts to attack/interact with the physical world?

She was a new character introduced during Excalibur Vol. 3. She had a fight with her parents (where they called her Wicked) on the same day that the Sentinels killed everyone around her. She also appears to have some connection to Dark Beast, given that he was seen sitting behind her on her bed in a dream, and she was clutching a Dark Beast doll. Yes her ghosts seem to be the residual energies of the dead, but they didn't at that time appear to have any true consciousness and were directed by Wicked. She often employed them by sending them out on scalvaging missions to help with the rebuilding efforts. They seemed generally ghostlike, but if attacked the damage would psychically reflect back and harm Wicked.

I doubt Wicked or any of the Genoshan mutants will make it out alive. :( It just seems like nobody has any use for them, so the easiest way to get rid of them is to...get rid of them.

This is the fun of all books about the Inhumans. I highly recommend the Paul Jenkins/Jae Lee trade paperback.
