I must find a way to make it off of work early tomorrow to see if I can get into this show with Ray Davies. (http://2006.sxsw.com/music/)
That's Ray Davies from the long-disbanded The Kinks. He has a new solo CD (I think it's his first in roughly 20 years), and I heard a great single from it yesterday. Tomorrow, he's doing a special show at SXSW. No telling how much it will cost to get in if someone doesn't have a badge. Then again, most shows around here have cost from five to twenty dollars. The only thing that sucks is the show is scheduled to start at five, which means it'll probably start at 5:30 or earlier, but that means I'd likely have to show up at about 3:30 or 4:00 to get a ticket. I'd have to leave really early from work, but I don't think that's going to happen since this is my first week here and we're quite busy right now.
Oh, well. Maybe I can work something out.
