Thanks to BuzzScope (http://popcultureshock.com/comics.php) for those images.
Looks like Havok defeats Sunfire and Rogue takes him in.

You can't do the links that way, you should just put up the regular one. :)

Makes it easier to click on each individual page.
I didn't read anything in the rules about that.

No, because it doesn't work. You get an error page when doing so. :)

I'm liking this issue so far. It looks like Sunfire might be redeemed afterall, which is a plus. It is interesting to note that he can power down apparantly, and he looks like his normal self, which is odd, as other horsemen usually undergo skindeep changes. Curiouser and curiouser.

Yeah, it is strange....but hey...Milligan is a f***tard so why not. He had a chance to do something really cool, and so far has yet to deliver. But I don't wanna get into that,...the issue looks to be similiar to the past 2, average. I want something HUGE to happen with this story.

At least Carey is taking over in July...

Is that guy in the tomb next to Apocalypse Gambit? Other than that, Sal's art seems to have gotten back on track, and aside from Gambit being a Horseman (ew!!!!!!!!!!), it actually doesn't look all that bad. I suppose I'll pick up the trade. Good cover.

decent preview.
i'm glad to see the x-men using the blackbirds offensively.
i'm also surprised to see that sunfire can power-down. could the aoa version do the same? for some reason i always assumed he was stuck in "flame-on" form.

I was thinking the same thing, streator.
I'm thinking the entire thing was a mask/costume rather than his actually form.

In the AoA it was a containment suit, because he no longer had a physical form. Nice to see that it was something of a fake-out here, since permanently altering a character like that usually gets met with anger. :)

That's because you know that once it's over, an entirely new creative team will take over, creating a new line-up and a new direction. So really, this story isn't going to effect much.

It just also feels like something like this should have a bigger feel to it. I mean here is the Big A coming to save mutant kind, he has this disasterous plan and he's recruited two X-Men atleast...we don't know about the 4th Horsemen Pestilence. It just feels lacking. Sal's art is great but the rest...I just don't feel the epicness that this should have.

I agree with UTV ... despite what is happening , the characters involved and the good art , you get no feeling of epic .
Now all we can hope is that something big might at least happen ,at the end of the arc ... something big enough to be carried over in Carey's run

Well the fact that the characters are pretty much acting like complete idiots just so the story can work doesn't help.

Do u think Poccy will be defeated at the end of this arc and be dead/gone for good this time or do u think he'll be victorious and its the X-Men that'll be thrashed senseless and we can expect to see Poccy + Horsemen popping up here and there, with the X-Men giving chase, thoughout Carey's run?
Any views?

I do not think at the moment Carey has given any hints that his run will have anything to do with the Horsemen or Poccy. He's been talking about new villains. Poccy will likely partially win but he will be stopped from killing all those humans we know so he basically looses. And didn't the June solicit say something about his fate not being clear. IE he can show up again later when he wants but no I don't see it as a set up for Carey's run which is a huge problem with making any of this have any effect except on Gambit since he's leaving for whatever reason.

I think it's also because it's a self contained arc whereas something like AoA was a huge crossover affecting all the books. I'm sure they could make Blood of Apocalypse a bigger type of event but I think it's cool if they can contain it within X-Men and still have any particularly lasting repercussions at all.

Yes, thank god for that! I'm so happy that he's not stuck in that crappy fire form. I just hope that he actually has powers, and it's not just a bi-product of the suit. Oh, and hopefully he is redeemed after this arc.

He did have a physical form. Remember when he was extinguished in Astonishing X-Men (vol.1) #1, he was covered with burned flesh.

I would be really pleased if Sunfire were redeemed after this arc, and even more pleased if we got to see him semi-regularly. So far, he's the only one who's being written relatively well. At least they haven't butchered him the way they have Gambit and Bobby.

Yeah thats kinda what i see happening . Pocy might lose a few horsemen when the arc ends , possibly even all of them (still doesnt mean that those former horsemen wont remain villains) , but he'll still be there and popping up once everywhile in Xmen .

He did have a physical form, as shown in Astonishing X-Men #2, I believe. He had to wear a containment suit because he could no longer shut his powers off (which had been amped up), thus constantly being on fire.
