Area 52

at first i thought this was going to be one of those really serious comics. then i started having thoughts about how much it reminded me of 'The Thing.' but the more i saw that hippie dude on panel, the more i started laughing. i starting reading on with a lot of pleasure as i realized this book was a perfect mesh of humor, suspense, science-fiction and just about every other genre i could think of. there were these really interesting satires, my favorite being the green lantern.

Area 52 was one of my first exposures to Image, and is still one of the funest comic series I have ever read.

And yeah, it was The Thing with comedy.

That series was AWESOME--and, unfortunately, short-lived.
