This might be pretty cool. BioWare has a proven track record of great games, I'll be watching this closely.

Might be ok. They still haven't said what it's going to be though.

I'm more intrigued by this (http://pc.ign.com/articles/695/695427p1.html)

I like BioWare, but I'm gonna have to see what this MMO is about before I get excited. MMOs have got the be the slowest most tedious genre out there so BioWare's gonna have to come with something new if they want any attention. I bought WoW based off Blizzard's track record with games and I really, really wish I didn't

Try City of Villians. The action is very fast paced. The only problem is they are taking forever and a day to get Issue 7 out.

City of Heroes/Villains is the only exception. I need to get back on that game

Millions of subscribers and the bulk of critical opinions disagree with you there.

My guess is that you just "didn't get in to it", which is a shame, because if you give it a little time, WOW really opens up.

Most MMOs aren't into the "millions of subscribers" range. And even the people who do play the games will tell you they're tedious. Why do you think WoW took off the way it did? Because everyone who wouldn't touch an MMO suddenly changed their mind overnight? The game was marketed as a casual-friendly game and pulled in a market other MMOs couldn't get. Why? Because it was a genre well known for being a tedious, slow, timesink. Don't think that all.....or any other MMO puts up half the numbers WoW does

My guess is that you just "didn't get in to it", which is a shame, because if you give it a little time, WOW really opens up.

I've been playing the game regularly since it launched in '04. I think that counts as "giving it a little time". It's still tedious and repetitive, just less so than every other MMO out there (unless you go for rank 14...then it's actually worse), unless running Molten Core/Battlegrounds over and over for months on end to get your epic set excites you.

WoW did the exact opposite of what you just said. It doesn't open up with time, it closes down. You're no longer adventuring or travelling the world. You're running the same handful of instances until your eyes bleed. WoW's endgame is ass

Screw the MMO, get back to work on Fallout 3.

Yeah, what's the hold up. My (Necro/TA) Mastermind is waiting to see what they do to make them semi viable in PvP.

Thats Black Isle, which was destroyed before interplay ended.

I no longer trust Bioware. While their Baldur's Gate games rank as my favorites of all time, Bioware is also responsible for the bug filled, ending deprived Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Such potential in that game, so unfulfilled. I

Bio picked up the Fallout franchise some time ago. They just haven't done anything with it.

Actually I though Bethesda Soft had the right to Fallout now.

That's what happens when you give a developer only 12 months to do a game.

Yeah, I know the major problem is the rush job that got put on it for a Christmas release. Much more hacker savvy folks than I have gotten into the hidden files of the game and found all kinds of things that were going to be in the game but never added. Its sad seeing what direction things were heading in before they had to chop off several hours worth of ending. There is actually a group of programmers who have pulled much of this coding out and are adding to it in a mod which will make the game closer to its original vision.

They do, have had the rights for some time, and are using the Elder Scrolls 4 engine on it. Which has many a fallout fan a bit scared, but cautiausly optimistic.
Fallout 1 and 2 had relatively small teams, and as far as i know, none are involved in Fallout 3.

Cool. They also have the Star Trek licence now, I heartily approve of this.

It would be very nice to have some Trek games that dont suck donkey balls :)

Frankly, I7 is gonna be huge. 5 new powersets (well only 3 but DM & DA are going to be modified), 2 New Zones, Mayhem Missions, Villian Accolades, Something like 5 new SFs, New costume options for both heroes and villians, new base items, and a whole bunch of QoL fixes.

I couldn't find anything on it. It would be a surprise since they are bringing the only real RPG to the 360, that guarentees profit.

Someone on another board I go to said that they're aiming for an April release of I7.

I'm also hoping that Archery/* Blaster gets some love too. Love Archery as a concept, hate the long animation times.
