I still haven't beaten the first GoW. :( But I hope the second one has some cool mythological monsters to face off against (Scylla or Kraken anyone?). The first one is kind of lackluster in terms of bestiary.

And I could do without the boobies everywhere. If they're going to show boobies, show Kratos' wang.

nah no need for the kratos wang. boobs are prevalant (sp?) in greek culture so i say keep them in, same capacity as before. dont over kill it, ill buy this just to kill like in the first game. Story is the main thing here, it must be good and have an epic feel otherwise it will be a let down.

Im ready for this game, been waiting to hear anything sence the creator said he was intrested in doing one more before the next gen jump.

Anywho, I would LOVE to be able to fight the Greek Gods. But it makes me think of Xena so much (the one where during the Twilight of the Gods where she killed a bunch of 'em). I could just imagine Kratos killing Ares, Poseidon, Hephaestus, etc, while forcing Aphrodite to be his "bride."

I'm still crossing my fingers for some Kraken action. The Hydra battle at sea left me wanting more. :X

#1: Only about three sets of tits on that game were worth staring at.

#2: They actually wanted to make the Cyclopses and Minotaurs anatomically correct, but IIRC, they had trouble getting it right. In the extras menu, they even have a model of one of their attempts to pull it off.

New issue of Game Informer confirms rumors that Kratos will return to Sony's current-generation console.

Last month, rumors spread that God of War was getting a sequel. The source of the scuttlebutt was a report on Eurogamer.net, which cited leaked Sony Computer Entertainment Europe marketing materials that revealed the untitled follow-up to the now-budget-priced actioner would be released in the US next February.

However, the marketing materials allegedly said that, like God of War, its sequel would be released for the PlayStation 2. Though the first game's current-generation graphics wowed critics, the Eurogamer.net report dashed hopes that the series might debut on the PlayStation 3, which sports a much beefier GPU.

When the article--which was removed under legal threat from SCEE--broke, Sony Computer Entertainment America reps dismissed it as "rumor and speculation." However, this week, anyone who has seen a copy of Game Informer magazine now knows that God of War 2 is indeed in the works. On its cover, the new issue of the Minnesota-based monthly proclaims that "Kratos returns to the PlayStation 2."

Since its release in March 2005, God of War has received many awards, including top honors at the 2006 Interactive Achievement Awards and GameSpot's PlayStation 2 Game of the Year prize.

Kratos was the God's errand boy for a while, this could have been a earlier adventure.

(Or by some plot device, not exploiting God of War powers.)

And really as a American I will say this:

It is damn rdicluous about the "Breasts!" thing.

I mean really, the Oracle, and those women on the boat, that's it. Cause the harpies and medusa breasts, are censore dsome.

And please.. I would rather find horror in my future childrne to enjoy horrible graphic violence, then seeing how a female body looks like. (in some ways.)

i beat the game on normal and now im trying to beat it on god mode. its friggin impossible. i got past the part with the syrins and now im doing the challenge with the block on the conveyer belt. pushing the block is no problum. its the damn enemys do so much more damage in godmode so i die before i can get the block in place

Yeah, I picke dup the issue of Game Informer, and basically, Kratos is stripped of his God-hood, and now he is taking revenge on every God, and the Fates. It suppose to be awsome, because they have pretty much the same people who created the first one create this one. In this one, you have all of your weapons and powers, and you can create awsome combos, like combining Sword of Chaos and the Swords of Athena (I think that is what it is called....) and you can switch between them with a button. And now, you don't have to stop to cast a spell, you can still go on and fight while casting it... which seems awsome.

Too bad that game isn't coming out 'till 2007.

know whats kinda cool? in the first game in the special features the creator said that he wanted kratos to get a pair of wings as one of the power of the gods and that it was turned down. now from one of the newer trailers you can clearly see kratos with wings during a long jump that he makes. thought that was pretty interesting

And Im not very excited. I loved the first GOW but the one man who made it what it was david jaffe isnt going to direct it. He might have something to do with it but someone else is taking control over it.

Would be like a metal gear game without hideo kojima directing it.
