I for one would have to say Legend Of zelda, Mario, Jak and daxter and tekken (that probabely one of best on my list).

Those are all moronic ideas for RPG. Mario is a one-player platforming game featuring a single character. As is Jak and Daxter. And Legend of Zelda is about a one-player puzzle solving experience, mostly. None of those lend themselves to RPGs.

Now, Pokemon on the other hand . . .

Actaully mario and zelda good could be pretty good rpg's youve gotta goombas (mairo) koopas (mario) orcs (zelda) and so on and so on but you do bring up a good point with pokemon (cant beleive I forgot that one) P.S the tekken one at tops i guess would only be ok not good not great just okay. And jak and daxter I would have to say would only be good if a crossover of the original jak and daxter worlds than throw in the cars and guns from the other jak games and then choose youre race like you do in most other MMORPG's.

There have been a few Mario RPGs. Legend of the Seven Stars, Paper Mario and Superstar Saga. The Mushroom kingdom is a huge place with interesting ceatures. I'm sure Nintendo can easily make a Mario MMO.

Jak and Daxter? Tekken? How would you turn those into RPGs?

Elder Scrolls. Can you imagine if they took everything from Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and the Expansions and put them all on one World Map as a seperate continents, plus added new continents to explore just for the online version. That would be a pretty damn big world, and I would live in it, lol.

Especially with Oblivion adding in the ability to purchase houses in cities and actually take up residence, plus the ability to customize your home by buying furniture.

Oh Snap...

Those damn RPGs are already addictive enough. If they pulled some crap like that with Elder Scrolls, people might go missing for a few weeks, possibly months...

Definatly a cool idea.

Of course then you'd have to deal with l33tv1v3c666...

The best answer to this question for me would be ShadowRun. It would be amazing as a MMO.

I thought of it as well, haven't actually had a good, futuristic mmorpg. (I said good, so Anarchy Online doesn't count!)
They could do so much with it, the variety would be pretty staggering. One guy plays a shaman and lives in the jungle, another plays a hacker, another guy works for the company said hacker is trying to steal from.
And, yknow...dragons.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Star Wars MMORPG that didn't completely suck.

A friend and I have discussed this quite a bit, and we both agree that a Suikoden MMO would be absolutely wonderful. Since all of the games have taken part on the same world, just different parts, there would be more than enough content between all five games (six if you count Rhapsodia), plus room to add more content.

Speaking of which I saw that Games Workshop is making a Warhammer MMO (again). Not 40k mind you, no Tyranids and Space Marines, no. They decided since there are so few fantasy based MMOs out there they would just go with regular old Warhammer.

I'll try to contain my excitement. :|

Darkstalkers.

After reading the plot guide, this series practically demands to be a MMO. Give it CoH-like customization, different factions, a realtime combat engine (with air combos, dammit) and a heavy PvP-focus http://www.shoryuken.com/forums/images/smilies/rock.gif

And it may not have been a game originally but I always thought Naruto would've made a good MMO.
