So Shawn Ryan and David Mamet team up to do a show and there's no mention of it?
I just got done watching it and I have to say that I enjoyed it and I'm hoping for more. Both Ryan and Mamet have a flair for tight plots and I hope that they can continue to do so with this show. Heck, if it was just a continuation of Mamet's "Spartan" I'd be happy but it looks like there could be some interesting long term plots. I'm definitely going to keep watching.

Considering I did a title search with "unit" as my parameter I thought I did just fine. The no results tipped me off to there not being one. Apparently they were wrong.

Holy crap...last night's episode was intense!!! That wasn't training at all.
And really, skip all the family crap. The wives and kids should just be background characters...personally, I think it drags down the show momentum (especially last night's).

I found the religious pressure put on by the wives to that one not religious wife rather offensive.
It was pretty clear that success in the unit was based on your wife being a team player in church.
That's just not right.

So they moved this show to Sundays...not cool. That's the middle of my workweek. Ah well.
Season premiere was cool. Mack will probably end up boinking the new chick.
The "fight" between Mack and Bob was hilarious.
Mack: punch, punch
Bob: block block, "no no" finger wag

I love this show and agree that the family stuff should be put in the background. But I guess this is how they keep the women viewers attatched, along with adding a female member to the group.

Stupid demographic pandering. Let the women folk watch Army Wives if they want that stuff.

Stupid (I'm guessing football) made me miss the last ten minutes on my DVR. And the season premiere was great up until that point. I love... uh, Red Cap.
