HOLY S***! This thing looks awesome!! I couldnt help but laugh with the audience at the hilarious situations you can find yourself in and the amount of things you can actually do. So what exactly is this game?? I've never heard about it before today. Is it PC exclusive? or will it be released on a console? Release date? Any details, let us know!!

Yes, it's a PC title, set to come out in the 3rd quarter of 2006 according to GameFAQs. As the trailer indicates, it starts as an "evolution simulation" (like Simlife for the PC, or EVO: The Search For Eden for the SNES) and then progress to a Populus-like tribal sim, then to city-building and civilization-building modes, and finally you get to build spacecraft and travel the universe, exploring and generally messing about.

I watched that video the other day. It blew my mind. But maybe my mind is easily blown. I don't know. It does look amazing though, almost everything I've ever wanted in a video game.

Best thing about that game, is how simple it looks.
I guess the closest thing too it would be a Simearth, which in my opinion, was godawful, boring, and too complex. This one seems simple, and added in RTS elements just makes it all the more interesting.
First time i've been excited about a game since the prerelease of Fable.

This game looks amazing. I hope they bring it to more platforms than just the PC. There are hints (http://ds.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=3407) that the game may come to a portable console, at least.

I'm a pc gamer primarily these days, but that whole thing about console gamers being unable to understand a pc game is, and always has been, ridiculas.

this gaming website has 5 threads with people talking about doing it sooo....
im fighting them with.......CARE BEARS that and want to see if can have movie theatres to see how the game went when you first played it later in the game.

P.S ive heard rumors that I can shape how my planet looks and by that I mean make it look like an eye or a head or something has it been confirmed?

ign said theyre customisable but i think they ment customisable within the shape of a sphere. I havent thing anything to suggest otherwise.

Good thing you just DL other people's civs, because i can see a few (more like a few thousand) dickheads that would exploit the disparity between interstellar cultures and some bacteria/tibal/etc planet like "paypal or i nuke your planet" or something like that if it were an actual MMO (good thing it isn't). I could actually see entire like ... ugh.. "Clans" (or more likely called "Federation" or "Alliance" in this case.) devoted to extorting or just plain nuking other players' planets.
But yeah, it looks great.
