Detective Comics 817 - Is it me or....

does it seem as if they finally care about the series in terms of art and story (ie city of crime) to anyone else with this issue? i mean for the first time in a very long time it seems to me like they are putting it on level with the regular batman series. thoughts?

I really liked when Ed Brubaker was on the book, but outside of that, Detective hasn't really grabbed me like the other bat titles...at least lately. I do, however, really like where this book is headed after reading issue #817.

I think Robin seems a little too perky... too campy. It doesn't really seem like Tim (although I really hve no proof at this point to believe it is him). I also thought that the whole thing with Harvey Dent was a tad bit confusing. But I wil agree that the new team seems to have captured the tone of Gotham.
