i have alot of questions. i would like to start by asking what is the name of a comic that would start me off with batman like wen he first started. would a book store like barnes and nobles carry ne of the comics and if not is there ne place online i can find comics at? im new at this so ne advice would be helpful thanx

EBAY! Ebay a great place to find affordable back issues, you can even buy full runs. I bought all 200+ Flash issues a few years back for 190.

Batman: Year one.That's where you should start with batman cause that's kind of where he started.

oh and check out the Batman TPB thread for some solid recommendations.

The OYL jump this month is the best time IMO to start your Batman collection. I know that's what a lot of people have been waiting for.

wats oyl? and is there such a think cuz i know somecomics have one big book with like 5 comics in it. can i get a batman one like that?

OYL is one year later, this month all of the ongoing DC titles are jumping forward one year. All the story arcs were settled last month so it's a great jumping on point for new readers.

By big books I guess you're talking about trade paperbacks (TPBs - also known as graphic novels). These are mostly what you'll find on Amazon. Batman Year One is one of these.

The One Year Later books won't be out in TPB til later in the year at the earliest
