The last I saw of this guy was in the excellent "Murder of Crows" in Swamp Thing. He seemed pretty messed up after it. Whatever happened to him?

He turned villain and fought the Teen Titans and got healed by Raven and then I don't know.

Last I heard, he'd turned himself into a cyberspace-themed villain but got lost somewhere in there when his computer crashed. Serves him right for running Windows.

I really hope that he shows up again now that Rita is back and remembers the other life she used to have. Would be interesting to see how he reacts to that one.

It was a scholarly type book on Batman. I recently saw several, but I think it was Will Brooker's Batman Unmasked: Analyzing a Cultural Icon. At one point, he quotes one of your CBR posts.

That happened to Nergal, too, in one of the very early issues of Hellblazer.
