They both had crap launches, and they're both starting to pick up steam. DS with Castlevania, Sonic DS, Gunstar Superheroes and Mario Kart. PSP with ToE, VP, the new megaman games and Shin Budokai

That sounds like a good thing. I almost want to get one just so I can pretend I'm scheduling something important while really playing Castlevania. But I likely won't touch either device until the DS gets pocket sized or the PSP drops in price.
I got the DS. I like it. But I get mixed reactions whenever I'm playing it. Some people dig it, while others clown on me, saying I should have gone with that PSP.

Depends on what you like, really. In my opinion, the uniqueness the DS play mechanics offer put it way above the PSP, which is just a portable PS2. If you're really into the other frills, you should get a PSP I guess, although you can already play videos, MP3s and load pictures on your DS with a GBA flashcard and you'll soon be able to surf the web.

lol same with me,at my local barber shop the barbers let you play the PSP while getting cut up.i brought up the DS to my baber and he said its strictly PSP up in this peice.
me PERSONALLY the DS has a great back catalogue from the NES,SNES,and the GBA.not only that its shrinking, and will have great add on's later.if they had added a bigger screen ala psp,it would pretty much be the nail in the coffin for the psp.sony might as well start waving the white flag LMAO.

I wasnt to get a PSP.
But the $250. price tag is just too much for me to spend right now.

Try and win one at Wizard World Philly like me!
I love my PSP. I'm fairly certain that I would not have bought one though. But since I won it, hey, free PSP! Lumines alone makes me happy, but I just got Liberty City Stories, and it is quite excellent. It will also enable me to get a little creative with the things I can do with the PSP, aka hack it so I can run emulators.
I also picked up a 4GB hard drive/2X Battery pack on eBay that should be arriving shortly. This will let me use my PSP for an MP3 player, since I'll finally have decent storage space. Movies and such too will easily be able to be stored and watched.

I love the PSP. I'm sure I'd appreciate the DS though if I had it, but I like the fact that I can do nearly anything with my PSP to the point I don't even consider buying an I-Pod anymore... :P

I wasn't sure which one I wanted at first. Luckily it was decided for me...I got a Nintendo DS for christmas this past year. I've been playing Animal Crossing quite a bit and plan on getting quite a few GBA games. I already have Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga and Final Fantasy IV Advance. I like my DS a lot.

If you liked M&L: Superstar Saga, you should pick up the sequel M&L: Partners in Time.

I had a PSP but was disappointed with the fact that movies seemed to be all that were being released for it, so I traded it in for a DS. I have no regrets.
