I've transplanted this from the DC board. There was discussion of what a Legion from Earth - 2 might be like if they were inspired by the JSA, set in the year 2938, as opposed to the JLA and their Earth, beginning in 2958. This is what I came up with:
Legion of Super-Heroes - Earth II
Kwerl Ultra-Humanite XXI Dox : Having been infected by the Ultra-Humanite virus in 2941, Kwerl gained all the knowledge of every host, turning him into one of the greatest intellects ever to live on Colu, a planet know for the finest minds in the universe. When the more malevolent intentions of the virus surfaced, Dox used his newly intensified brain to re-combine the virus' properties, imbueing it with a strong moral compass.
Salu Atom Girl Digby
Yera Mars Girl J'onnz: descended from the last Martian, and his half Durlan progeny. While shape-shifting is her major ability, she also has some extra-sensory abilities, along with the power of flight, and various enhanced vision abilities. Although it's not a real physical weakness, she harbours the Martian pathological fear of fire.
Brin Wildcat Londo: A feral scrapper, with lycanthropic tendancies.
Jake Starkid Knyte: Generations ago, the abilities of the Cosmic Rod were woven into the DNA of the Knyte (archaic spelling, Knight) Family, giving its latest heir Jake complete control over gravity, as well as a limited force-field, and energy blast.
Dirk Firebrand Morgna: Had Dirk not been the descendant of the legendary JSAer, he might not have survived being locked in a fusion reactor. The one side-affect is that he must wear a containment suit in public.
Power Girl : As the youngest to join, and the first 2nd generation JSA member, she was the Legion's inspiration, and thanks to Rond Vidar's Mobuis Chamber, she can take part in their adventures whenever she wishes.
Tinya Hourgirl Wazzo: Trapped in the Phantom Zone, she can manifest herself solid in our dimension for only one hour of every 24. She generally does this, minutes at a time.
Nelson Kid Fate Ibis: The progeny of two mystical families, and heir to the Helm of Nabu.
Sloane Ms. Terrific Holt: Beautiful, brilliant, and able to duplicate the power of anyone within 50 meters.
Garth Kid Thunder Ranzz: His life was saved, when he merged with the mystical lightning.
Imra Saturn Girl Ardeen: Largely the same.
Rokk Kid Polaris Krinn: Largely the same.
Jeana Miss Mercury & Jonah Kid Mercury Swift: Speedsters extroardinaire.
Gim Atomsmash Allon: Descendant of the legendary Nuklon/Atom Smasher.
Dawn Hawkgirl Hall: The latest reincarnation of Shayera, from the planet Starhaven.
Wayne Bat-Boy Gordon: When transformed into his Man/Bat state, he has wings, and vaguely defined sonic abilities.
Jo Power Boy Nah: Descended from Power Girl, he has all her powers, but can only use one at a time.
Laura Superlass Kent: "Faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall building in a single bound, more powerful than a locamotive..."
That's a start!

If you're talking about the pre-Crisis Earth-2 (the "real" one, so to speak), you might have a few problems. For starters, there was no E2 Brainiac or Phantom Zone (Kal and Kara were the only surviving Kryptonians). And why would all those aliens be descended from Earth-born heroes?
I'm not saying you aren't onto something here, only that you might want to think it out a bit more.

Maybe the "aliens" are descended from Earth colonies. This was always a part of the Legion's history.
I also used Brainiac, because there was no reason Earth - 2 couldn't have a Brainiac. I used IV instead of V, because they started their careers earlier on Earth - 2.
I used the Phantom Zone, because I believe General Zod came from the Phantom Zone in the dailies done by Seigel and Shuster, well before the Silver Age. Also, as per Wikipedia:
The Phantom Zone has also been independently discovered by the Bgzltians, the White Martians and the villains Loophole, Prometheus and Queen Bee, who call it the Buffer Zone, Still Zone, Stasis Zone, Ghost Zone and Honeycomb, respectively.
I'll also add, that I didn't want to call Kid Fate "Nelson Zatara," and since Dr. Fate had a hand in the cross-over between the JSA and the JLA, it seemed highly likely that he'd also cross over to Earth - S. Also "Ibis" has a simple enigmatic sound.

Some nice homages there...Another note, I think Martains were different to the Earth-1 variation.

I thought about that, but decided the history of dopple-gangers was enough. Plus, in the previous version of the Legion, when they strongly suggested that RJ Brande was the Martian Manhunter, I thought it would be interesting to reveal that he was, but that he was also still the father of Chameleon, which would give Cham some additional abilities as well!

There was no Brainiac on Earth-2. Thus, there could be no Brainiac IV on an Earth-2 Legion.
There was a reason there was no Brainiac on Earth-2: the same reason there was no Sinestro, Grodd, Captain Cold, Star Sapphire, Amazo, Trickster, Felix Faust, and Despero among many, many others: Earth-2 was a far less villain-rich planet than Earth-1 was.
If you want a Brainiac 5-equivalent, however, you might want to consider that Earth-2 boasted a few superintelligent villains of their own: the Ultra-Humanite, Alexei Luthor, the Wizard (for a more magical supergenius), and possibly Colonel Future.
Actually, some members of the Legion that joined the team came about because they appeared in comics that were just reprints of Golden Age comics. So technically, some members of the Legion have equivalents on Earth-2.
Star Boy, for instance, came from a story that was a reprint of a Golden Age comic featuring a "Mars Boy."
Mon-El came from a story about Halkar, who came from the planet Thoron.
Thus, you don't need to invent a Golden Age Mon-El or Star Boy; they already exist.
Also: there was no Martian Manhunter on Earth-2. In fact, the appearance of Martian Manhunter, Captain Comet, and Adam Strange are considered to be the defining point of when DC comics started to shift to Earth-1.
Although that bit about Power Girl being in the Legion is pretty sharp. We never got to see her teen years very closely as she was kept a secret weapon much, much longer on Earth-2, until adulthood.

I'm sticking with Brainiac IV and my Martian Manhunter legacy! See previous post for explanation.
As for Power Girl, it's possible that the JSA had files and footage of her as a teen, and that the Legion would, in 2938 have access to those records, so the fact that we never saw her as a teen, doesn't mean that they haven't.
I was actually hoping that people would suggest other possible Earth - 2 Legionnaires though.

Paul's right. Although no inhabitants of Mars-2 were depicted in Silver or Bronze Age stories, according to the Golden Age "Wonder Woman" series the planet was ruled by the Olympian God of the same name.

Thus, you don't need to invent a Golden Age Mon-El or Star Boy; they already exist.
First, the Star Boy and Mon-El stories were retellings of earlier stories, not reprints. Second, the E2 Superman had no Superboy career so the Mars Boy and Halkar stories aren't part of E2 continuity anyway.
Ontir, I missed your earlier point that the E2 Legionnaires were inspired by the JSA, not necessarily descended from them. I withdraw my criticism on that point.
Again, I think you're onto something here but I encourage you not to bend Earth-2 history quite so much to accomplish your goal.

Halkar was actually a SuperMAN story and fits snugly enough within the time period that it could have occured to BOTH Supermen although my preference is to set it as a very late Earth-2 story because of the similarities with Mon-El.

I looked up Brainiac on Wikipedia, and saw that he first appeared in the comics, in 1958, but I thought he was in the dailies by Seigel and Shuster prior to that. Anyway, I'm going to do a bit of Stalinist Revisionism on the earlier post, so check back!

If i can toss out my ideas...
In an old Justice Society story Shanghaied into Space (later redone as an All Star Squadron story shanghai'ed into hyperspace) they JSA were shot into, well, space and each landed on a different planet in our solar system which in proper golden age/pulpy fashion were all habitable and inhabited by appropriate societies. Also in Golden Age wonder woman stories Mars was the world of Mars/Ares and warlike.
So a while back i came up with this for the Earth 2 Legion, the League of Space Heroes:
Captain Lightning - hero of Earth, no powers but carries his 'lightning rod' ray gun and is protected by a 'storm sheild'
Mars Man - mars is inhabited by troll like warriors and rules by Mars. they constantly raid Earth and Venus. Mars Man is a warrior Captain Lightning saved who then joined them. He has his Magentic Mace and Iron Armor.
Venus Girl - Venus is inhabited by lovely fairys and is preyed upon by Mars. Venus Girl has a lute that can be used to control people telepathically.
Mercury Mite (Shrinking Violet) the smallest and fastest Leaguer from the small and fast world of Mercury.
Sun Boy (Sun Boy) - a firey being from, uh, the sun.
Great Jupiter (Collossal Boy) - the biggest and strongest leaguer from the king of planets
After that I peeter out... Shadow Lass from the dark world of Pluto? Bouncing Boy from the Asteroids? Lots of ways to go. But y'all get the general idea. I would love to use these ideas at some point, it would a be a cool retro-future place.

just a bit about terminology, they weren't 'reprints' but retellings. When comic fans turned over every 5 years it was fine to reuse ideas and even dialogue from older stories. But there was new art and new dialogue. I totally agree about using them though. Add Halkar to my League of Space Heroes!

Salu Atom Girl Digby !
( I think a better choice would be to base him off the JSA villain the Brainwave)
!
eh I dont see the analogue of this charecter...
Brin Wildcat Londo: A feral scrapper, with lycanthropic tendancies.
!
nice
Jake Starkid Knyte: Generations ago, the abilities of the Cosmic Rod were woven into the DNA of the Knyte (archaic spelling, Knight) Family, giving its latest heir Jake complete control over gravity, as well as a limited force-field, and energy blast.
!
good also
Dirk Firebrand Morgna: Had Dirk not been the descendant of the legendary JSAer, he might not have survived being locked in a fusion reactor. The one side-affect is that he must wear a containment suit in public.
!
eh not thrilled with this one, not that I have a better idea....
!
I like these as well
Nelson Kid Fate Ibis: The progeny of two mystical families, and heir to the Helm of Nabu.
!
Dr Fate has never been done as well as the short lived Inza nelson run. I'd like to see a E2 Legion analogue to the white witch if your having a sorcerer.
Sloane Ms. Terrific Holt: Beautiful, brilliant, and able to duplicate the power of anyone within 50 meters. !
Eh mr terrific and duplicate boy? two third raters = a 6th rater IMHO...skip this one
Garth Kid Thunder Ranzz: His life was saved, when he merged with the mystical lightning. !
NICE
Imra Saturn Girl Ardeen: Largely the same. !
Or maybe she could be an analogue of the original Brainwave?
Rokk Kid Polaris Krinn: Largely the same. !
base him off the quality comics charecter MAGNO created by Paul Gustavson
Jeana Miss Mercury & Jonah Kid Mercury Swift: Speedsters extroardinaire. !
should be be based off of JOhnny Quick IMHO
Gim Atomsmash Allon: Descendant of the legendary Nuklon/Atom Smasher.
!
good
Dawn Hawkgirl Hall: The latest reincarnation of Shayera, from the planet Starhaven. !
eh ... I could get used to it
Wayne Bat-Boy Gordon: When transformed into his Man/Bat state, he has wings, and vaguely defined sonic abilities. !
UGH....there is no reason for a batman charecter IMHO. He's as UN-legion-esque as you can get...
Jo Power Boy Nah: Descended from Power Girl, he has all her powers, but can only use one at a time. !
great!
Laura Superlass Kent: "Faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall building in a single bound, more powerful than a locamotive..." !
you have supergirl covered with power girl this si just redundant. If You need to go this route I'd go Iron Munroe

Pre-Gap, Pre-Zero Hour, there was a female Durlan called Yera. She posed as Shrinking Violet for awhile, and eventually became Gim "Collosal Boy" Allon's wife. I wanted to use a female instead of a male, and merge a Durlan with a shape-shifting Martian, and VOILA!
As to Miss and Kid Mercury, I was playing with the idea of combining power-clans. The first names tie in to Johnnie Quick, but they also connect via code-names to Max Mercury, which I like.
Superlass, is a direct descendent of Superman, but is at the power-level of the 1938-40 Superman. She can't fly, only leap. She has his vision powers, but nowhere near as powerful as Power Girl, or Power Boy.
Bat-Boy, despite his real name, is close to Man-Bat, than Batman, which is an idea I'd played with for awhile. his "vaguely defined" powers, was an in-joke, aimed at the recent discussions of Tyroc.
As for the rest, I'm sticking with my list, post your own answer, building from your Brainwave suggestion! I'm interested in seeing what people come up with!

Well, I DID give you something to be snide about, so I guess that's something.
Beyond that, I really am interested in what someone else, indeed several someones, would come up with. Both here and and on the DC Boards, there have been multiple threads about multiple Earth Legions. Silly me, I thought it might be fun to see what people came up with.
Instead of being nasty, why don't you just post a roster of your own.

There seems to a resurgence in interest in Victorian Science Fiction and to a lesser extent pulp.
hard SF tends to be a lot less colorful and fun. the solar system as imagined in those early days was teeming wth life and strange cultures.
Superman in the 50s has some good ideas for use here. I just ordered the Superman chronicles which should have more. I know the GA wonder woman was always going into space, anyone know of other GA space heroes?
