Okay so I was playing with my PSP and then I dropped it. When I picked it up almost all of the screen was black and the middle of it looked cracked even though the screen wasn't cracked! WHAT DO I DO??? MY POOR PSP!! THIS IS THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!

There's gotta be someplace you can send it to get it fixed. Look around

You probably have to send it in to Sony.

The wrist strap is the best invention for the PSP.

But the warranty says "Warranty shall not apply if the product blah blah blah...c) Is damaged by the acts of God, Misuse, Abuse, Negligence, Accident, Wear and Tear, blah blah blah. And this was caused by the bolded.

You don't have too many options there. Either:
A) Pay Sony to repair it
B) Purchase a new one
A is probably only slightly less costly than B. If you go to some smaller game shops, sometimes they have guys around that'll fix up consoles for you on the side. They might do it cheaper.

Did you buy it at a EB/GameStop? Maybe you can return it for a new one or is that already too late?

I got it as a present for Christmas. I'm pretty sure it's too late.

Another possibility might be the do-it-yourself option. Looking around online, replacement LCDs seem to go for around $60. That's probably a fair bit cheaper than what a repair would cost (I'm guessing here, no idea what the going rate is for PSP repairs). It doesn't look like they're all that hard to replace, but then again it isn't just a quick part swap either.
That'd be what I'd do, but I wouldn't mess with it unless you or maybe someone you know is fairly savvy with that sort of thing. In that case I'd say it'd be time to start pricing repair shops.
Edit: Actually, now that I look at this a little closer, I think it is just a fairly basic part swap. The first guide I was looking at is showing how to replace the wafer inside the LCD. Replacing the whole display looks to be quite a bit easier.

I think that each store is independently owned, so I guess it depends on how cool they are at the particular store.
As for lying, I'm sure you can think of something. Although it seems as if the warranty seems to cover everything except for the thing bursting into flames.

The warranty only means they won't fix/replace it for free. You should still be able to send it in for repair if they charge you.

I've repaired a few consoles before. Usually on a very trial-and-error basis. Check out some VG hardware sites. There're some techies around who can probably tell you what's wrong and how to go about fixing it.

Right now that's only for Japan. And I found out the LCD got cracked and stuff.

Turn it upside down and shake it really hard back and forth. That will clear all current images and reset the screen.

Yup, screens are pretty fragile when it comes to sharp impacts and warranties don't cover fixing 'em. I've discovered that myself. Word to the wise: If you carry your gameboy in your jacket pocket while driving, put it in your pocket with the screen facing your body rather than outward. Car door slams are more than enough to break the screen, even with a closed GBA SP.

But if it's inward, would't that make it a direct hit to the screen?

Um... No?
