Developing a char idea on an online Marvel RP site using a riff off Ultimate Thor's backstory and borrowing Wiccan's old name.... here's some avatar work I thought I'd share. I found a copy of the Ultimates 2 Issue 5 cover, and adjusted the color balances till I found a nice hue. Then, I googled a rainy night pic and found this street scene. I filtered it with poster edges and crosshatch or angled strokes i believe. The glow is just a duplicated layer with the brightness all the way up and motion blurred. The eyes were done on a layer above his face and gaussian blurred blue with white dots. The text is bevel/embossed with outglow, pattern overlay, drop shadow... and im not sure what else. Anyways, yeah. Let me know what you guys think.

That's fantastic! Looks better without the glowing eyes though i think. How do you colour somehting like that? (Not the eyes, the whole pic)
