Well, I am a diehard fanboy and am reading multiple DC titles. However, I don't read everything.

I want to know what you guys think of what I am reading. On a scale of 1-10 (worst to best), how is my DCU pull list? What should I add, drop, in your opinions. How much quality is in the quantity in your opinions?

Action Comics
All Star Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder
All Star Superman
Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis
Batman
Blue Beetle
Captain Atom: Armageddon (WS, yet still a DCU character)
Catwoman
Detective Comics
Green Arrow
Green Lantern
Firestorm
Infinite Crisis
Justice
Nightwing
Outsiders
Robin
Supergirl
Superman
Superman/Batman
Superman/Shazam!: First Thunder
Teen Titans

Looks pretty good, but you're missing my favorite DC title of all time. JSA. It's really what kept me reading DC when I wasn't exactly happy with some of the first books I picked up (my first books were Superman #204, JLA #94, and JSA #59). I've been reading it ever since and I haven't desired to put it down. Ever.

It's not a list if you don't have Jonah Hex.

Lol. JK. But honestly, JH is, IMO, the best series DC is making right now.

I also noticed you left out JSA Classified (and JSA). Pretty good books.

Justice (by Alex Ross) is also a kickass read.

I'd honestly drop All Star Batman for any one of those titles. Hell, I'd drop a lot of those. But it's your money and this is merely my opinion. ;)

Well, it certainly differs from my DCU pull list. For one, it's missing good books like Jonah Hex, Manhunter and Legion of Super-Heroes. And, personally, I wouldn't touch Outsiders with a ten foot pole (unless it had dog poo on the end :) )... but that's me.

I guess I'd give it 8/10. You're all set for some of the cooler One Year Later monthlies. Plus, you have All-Star Superman on the list. Yay! Enjoy.

That's a pretty comprehensive list. But here's some good comics that aren't on your list.

You might want to pick up Justice League Unlimited, its a Johnny DC comic, but its usually as good or better than the "official" JLA comic set in the comics DCU. They've had great appearances by Uncle Sam & The Freedom Fighters, Deadman and, most recently, Space Freakin' Cabbie. And its a great story. Written by the new OYL writer of Robin.

And you have got to check out the painted League vs. Legion of Doom opus Justice. Its bimonthly and worth the wait every time.

I dunno if you've checked out the mini-series, but Green Lantern Corps has been really good. If you're an old school Guy Gardner fan, its a must read. The monthly starts OYL.

If you're looking to drop anything, I'd say wait until you've read the first OYL issues of each of these books and dump the ones you don't like. Given the misfire that was Bruce Jones' Vigilante, I don't have high hopes for Nightwing. And Winnick has been on autopilot lately with Green Arrow & Outsiders. That might change, but it might not. Scott McDaniel might be interesting on Green Arrow. His Nightwing rocked hard.

Yeah, sorry about that guys. I forgot Justice on the list, but I do read it.

Yeah, that was pretty much my plan. However, I really dig Bruce Jones. His run on Incredible Hulk was amazing for the first two years, and his Batman/Scarecrow: Year One was pretty entertaining IMO.

Judd Winick is another name I don't see dropping from the pull list any time soon, because everything his pen touches (Batman, Superman/Shazam!, Green Arrow, Outsiders, Titans/YJ: Graduation Day, Caper, Blood + Water) turns to gold. I haven't read a bad book from Winick under DC yet (except those John Walsh Outsiders).

If you're diggin' on Bruce Jones, you should maybe look into the new WARLORD series.

Severely lacking some blood of the demon. (yes I'm shamelessly pimping this book everywhere I can). keep outsiders, drop all star batman. add on JLU it's great fun (start back with the space cabby issue). Green Arrow should be stellar starting like right now. Hopefully we'll get a lot more connor in it.

I seriously beg to differ. But to each his own.

Did you like win a lottery? Between your Marvel and pull and these DC you spend more in a month then I do all year for books

A bit of an exxageration, don't ya think?

Judd's books never turn to gold (sales-wise, at least). They are all strictly B titles, at best. Well, I guess his Batman is doing okay, but that title sells no matter who is doing it.

MY DC LIST (current titles only -- not listing titles that haven't debuted):

JSA
Teen Titans (looking forward to OYL)
Superman
Adventures of Superman
Wonder Woman (last few issues were throw-aways)
Legion of Super Heroes (needs a kick-in-the pants, last few issues were dull)
Manhunter
Jonah Hex (beautiful art, okay stories)
Birds of Prey
Warlord (looks promising, but not ground-breaking)
JLA (currently awful!)
Supergirl (god awful!!!!)
Superman/Batman (occasionally good, often not)
Infinite Crisis
Justice (looks pretty, story hasn't grabbed me yet)
Superman/Shazam (zzzzzz -- big letdown!)

I'll also purchase issues here and there of Outsiders (the book never really delivered on what it promised), Batman and Firestorm.

Winick sometimes does things to shock people to raise sales at random that really aren't needed and totally squeeze characters into holes that can't be escaped.

I'll echo the recommendations of Manhunter (there's a $12.99 trade) and JSA. I'm also enjoying Jonah Hex but that's not DCU per se.

I'm gonna go down your list and tell ya what I think.

Action Comics : 10/10 Once Geoff Johns takes over. Hasn't hit on all cylinders since Chuck Austen was let go. Sorry Gail...

All Star Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder : 5/10 : Its a monthly debate at this point. How far longer do ya keep it. The hints are there it'll get better.

All Star Superman : 7/10 : It had a better 2nd issue than 1st.

Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis : N/A

Batman : 8/10 : Winick's only best DC work currently. His Outsiders are a waste of space and he writes Dick Grayson like crap. And his Green Arrow...ugh.

Blue Beetle : N/A
Captain Atom: Armageddon (WS, yet still a DCU character) ( Don't read this...)

Catwoman : N/A ( Don't read this eithor.)
Detective Comics : 8/10 once Dini/Morales take over. Good writer and art team here.

Green Arrow : 2/10 : Sucks ain't a word. Lame crap boiled over. OYL seems to signal more Crapola ahead as Mayor. ( I read this in a store )

Green Lantern : 7/10 : Johns is slowly start to make his mark on Hal's life.

Firestorm : 7/10 : Slowly becoming a great book. Not many online gave it a shot of existing past its 2nd year...but here it is...

Infinite Crisis : 10/10 : Johns rulz....nuff said.

Justice : 10/10 : I sadly dropped it due to price problems.

Nightwing : 9/10 : I'm worried Dick Grayson won't be the title charactor under Bruce Jones. The knife is a hint. ;)

Outsiders : 2/10 : Winick had an interesting team and crapped all over it. ( Dropped months ago)

Robin : 3/10 : Dropped this months ago as well. It sucked for me.

Supergirl : 2/10 : Nice art..little story for me. I dropped this after issue #1.

Superman : N/A ( I'll gibe 650# a pickup chance.)

Superman/Batman : N/A ( Dropped last year after #20)

Superman/Shazam!: First Thunder : N/A . After Winick's bombs at DC I wouldn't even risk picking this up.

Teen Titans : 9/10 : I can't wait to see the new members like Kid Devil and all join. Johns is just The Man I think.

Books ya need on your pull list: 52# ( Drop the lame Green Arrow and save up for this) , JSA ( Drop the lame Outsiders for this) , and Manhunter ( drop Robin.) Thats my critisisms of your pull list. ;)

Oh yeah, I forgot about Green Lantern, JSA Classified and All-Star Batman & Robin. All currently on my list.

Green Lantern is a solid performer -- especially in terms of artwork.

All-Star Batman & Robin is a gorgeous book -- just don't read the script, because it's painful.

JSA Classified is okay. I'm disappointed that they won't be doing any tales set in the past -- so my enthusiasm for this book has dropped dramatically. Unless they can bring in some top names to work on future stories, I don't see much of a future for this title.

I have bought a few issues of Teen Titans Go and JLU (which is just coming on CN as I type this). Both are pretty good -- depending on who is featured in any given month.

Obviously you like Winnick more than I do. I'd drop Green Arrow and add JSA or Manhunter, even though I like Ollie. I have liked Judd's work on Outsiders and Batman, though.

Personally, I'm also not interested in the new Aquaman, but I know Busiek is well-regarded, so I can see trying it.

Your List is very similar to my own, except I agree with Patriot07, you need to include JSA.

If it were me, I'd drop All Star Batman, Justice, Outsiders, Captain Atom and Supergirl. But it depends what your focus is. If quality stories are all that matters, buy what you enjoy since opinions are always subjective anyway. If your a continuity nut, you could probably drop ASB and Justice since neither are in continuity, and so on.

No, not really. Its not an exageration that everything he writes turns to gold because its my opinion. To me, IMHO, everything this guy writes is great. Now to you, that may be different, but to me, it isn't.

By the way, by "gold" I meant quality, not sales. ;)

Yeah...I have a problem.

Seriously, being an 18 year old college student, most of my freshmen year was paid for by scholarships and financial aid, and I have a part time job on campus, so I don't have many bills. I even have an on-campus meal plan, so the only things I pay for a month is car insurance, cell phone bill, and comics. I love being young. :D

Okay, then I SERIOUSLY disagree with you. But to each his (or her) own.

To add: I think books are going to get A LOT better OYL (starting March right?). Better talent is coming to most books and I think your pull list could change with OYL (what with all the new books/series/miniseries starting).
