I missed out on this a couple of weeks ago. Are there any online previews for issue #1 still out there? The Image Comics website has #2 up already.

Yes, Issue #2 is out as of this post (today) and it heats up even more. It's been a while since I've been at the drawing table like this (about 4 years) so you can literally see me getting my chops back in each issue. Holding up page 1 of issue 1 and page 22 of issue 4 is like night and day.

And yes, political correctness will not be found in Bomb Queen. If you find any, please report it to Image Comics and I'll pull out the eraser. The atmosphere in this book is about as black as it can get - before I call up the CBLDF to bail me out of jail.

Overview:
Bomb Queen is a 4-issue series about a VILLIAN who rules over a city with bloody results, but the twist is the people prefer it that way. Why? Because the citizens of this city are the worst people on the planet. Murders, rapists, pedophiles, et. So of course when they call for help it ain't gonna be Savage Dragon. They want someone to rep THEM. They want Bomb Queen!

Synopsis:
Bomb Queen has ruled her city for a decade, but now a goody-two shoes political outsider is running for Mayor and he wants to clean up the city. Of course that's a hard platform to run on in this town... so he does the unthinkable - he hires a Hero. Of course, this doesn't go down well with the current dictatorship. Bomb Queen needs to get rid of this Hero, the new Mayor, and keep her evil regime - no matter how many people die in the process.

There ya' go. In a nutshell.

And a note to all those who worry about those poor innocent bystanders who are killed in each issue. It's all good. Look at it this way. Haven't we all said wouldn't it be good if all those punk a$$ pedophiles and rapists and killers went to an island and just killed themselves? Welcome to Bomb Queen's world. Her city is a magnet for crime - since it's nothing but a free fire zone. So Bomb Queen is providing our country with a great service. Her town is soaking up the criminals and taking them off YOUR streets, making the neighborhoods across this great country a safer place.

So when you see people literally shredded by shrapnel in the background art you should applaud and raise a glass to Bomb Queen... a real American heroine.

Summary (highlight to view the spoilers)


Bomb Queen gives a lecture at a school, where she is ambushed the superhero Ace Justice. They fight. She blows up the school and escapes. While BQ interrogates the Mayor, AJ spends his time around the city helping people and ruining her reputation. BQ deduces a connection between Ace Justice and Robert Woods, and decides to crash Woods' political rally. Before she can question him, Ace Justice intercepts and attacks her. They fight in front of Woods' supporters, and she slaughters them all. With the whole city watching, Woods realises that no matter who wins the fight, his election campaign will have the perfect boost, and the Queen's reputation will be ruined forever.




Great series. Can't wait for #3. Bomb Queen is an evil bitch and I think I'm in love.
