From Newsarama... (http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60431)
"Speaking to Newsarama, DCU Executive Editor Dan Didio confirmed that Andy and Adam Kubert would be drawing Batman and Action Comics, respectively. The first Kubert issue of Batman hits in July, and the first Kubert Action Comics is issue #841, which puts makes it July as well."

I kinda feel sorry for Adam... with DC's policy of rotating creative teams on the Superman books he'll likely just hit his stride and be off the book.

Didio seems to imply that they're gonna focus on making ACTION the flagship DC book. I suspect the writer will be someone of great importance...

How can they do that when DC won't let a team stay on any Superman book fo more than a year?

I get the feeling DC will be changing their Superman policy come OYL. Busiek is already talking about plots and ideas to take him through to 2008. With Kubert on board, I think they'll keep him around as long as possible.
Can't wait to see who the writer is on Action.

To DC this means Johns or Winick ;) .

Finally. Been wondering what the brothers will be doing at Dc ever since they signed exclusives.
This is good news as I'm a huge fan of their works.

Who will be Andy's partner? I mean the writer.

they have not said yet, who will write superman.
I'm not a big Kubert fan, and Morrisons batman comments so far have left me cold. Why do we need a loving caring batman? He's Batman, not a Care Bear. The extended bat-family has never been my cup-o-tea, so it doesn't sound like it's getting anybetter.
As for Morrison, everybody calims his all-star superman is great, but so far I've seen nothing but other people in the fortress of SOLITUDE!!!!!!!! WTF, it's the fortress of solitude, not the "Lois come sleep-over" fort, "i've got robot versions of myself running around too!" Why does he need robot helpers?!?! Are they there to defend the fortress of SOLITUDE??? Didn't we go over this after superman 3 came out! Nobody should be there...NOBODY but Superman. Are they there to clean? The man can move faster than a speeding bullet, I think he can find the time to straighten up a bit, should he be having guests, but I've already covered thaty issue. Maybe thats just me, but it seems really silly.

Do you really believe that they would kick Kubert off Superman in a year? Its Adam Kubert, one of the hugest names in comics.

Well, he does tend to need a lot of fill-in artists.
On the other hand, he may've been working on these ACTION stories since he signed his exclusive DC contract months ago.....

Well, every now and then. His Ultimate X-Men run wasn't too broken up. There were a few issues with Tom Raney, Kaare Andrews, and David Finch.
He isn't the most consistently on time, but he Adam can keep a relatively strong schedule.

Andy's the one that drew Batman v. Predator and that was almost 15 years ago.
I loved his work out that project and cant wait to see how his rendition of Batman has evolved.

When and why did DC implement that kind of policy.

As stoked as I am for Andy Kubert's pencils on Batman, I am a bit sad about Doug Mahnke being booted from the book. His art style is perfect for Batman, and I hope DC puts him on a high profile title soon.

The only person who said that was Byrne. Meanwhile Kurt has already said that he has more than a year's worth of stories in mind.

Since Busiek's tentatively staying on until 2008, I'd say the "year-long only" policy is no longer in effect.
The art teams, however... that depends on whether they want to stay more than a year or not

Yes.
DC hasn't exactly been a fountain of truth. I'll be lieve it when I see it.

True, but if you have a name as big as Adam Kubert penciling your title, it just doesn't seem to likely to shuffle him off after a year. I could see Kubert leaving because he only initially agreed to a year run, but if DC placed him here, it only seems likely that they would want to keep him there for sales.
Kubert himself may decide to move onto another project.
