I thought I would post up the lineart for Mikey and Leo, also reposted Donatello incase anyone cares. I'm told they suck, which I'm getting tired of hearing from EVERY other artist I know :confused:

Not that my opinion matters much, but I don't see where they suck. I can see where they'd be considered different, but that's good. I'm still trying to find that within myself. For example, when I draw Reed Richards, I draw Mike's Reed Richards, when I draw Spidey, I draw Mark Bagley's Spidey, etc. The only character that isn't mind that I had an original take on was Batgirl, and I don't even care for her.

Does anyone give you any reasons for them sucking?

I just took a quick look at your site. This one (http://www.mankindram.com/batman.html) was my favorite so far.

i agree with rae, they don't suck, but they tend to have a look that is more 'humanized' than is present in the early comics and they look more like the costumes that were made for the movies.

i think people may want them to be more like the creatures they have been transformed into rather than a look like a human put into a turtle-esque 'shell', if you will.

the weapon sizes and anatomic proportions have to be reworked a bit too.

I rather enjoy seeing someone's take on someone else's character(s). I can see where they appear humanized, but if this is his vision of these characters, I think it's pretty neat.

Thanks so much guys for your insight, I was going for a whole new look for my stuff as I was beeing put down by "fellow" artist friends but have decided to stick with what is bringing me to the dance I will post more soon. Don't you guys worry! Thanks for you insight guys! :D
