I'm a fan of this genre of manga, but there are so many choices to choose from, i don't know which i should get, i was wondering if anyone here could give me a reccomendation.

Preferably a series like Ah My Goddess! of which i'm a fan.

Witch Class by Lee Ru, from Infinity Studios is pretty fun. It's a Korean series.
Also, if you look around, you might be able to find the 2 or 3 collections of Guardian Angel Getten [Mamotte Shugetten] published by Raijin Studios before they went out of buisness.

You might also like Dr.Master/ComicsOne's Please Teacher [Onegai Teacher].
And there's also Wish from CLAMP, which is about a doctor who helps out an angel and wins her devotion [very much a shoujo manga, and really well written, the first CLAMP project where Mick Nekoi was lead artist]

Fruits Basket (but it sorta transcends the genre)

Mahou Tsukai ni Koto?

I think thats the name its been awhile and when I look it up I can't find it.

But its basically about the Real World and Magic is real. Some Magicians become fireman, bankers etc etc etc. But before they do that they all have to get apprenticed to a Master. So this one girl from the countryside moves into the big city to meet her appointed Master and to learn from him and become a good magician.

I saw the first three eps of twelve and while nice it wasn't to my taste but it sounds like what you want because the main girl has a romantic interest in the first boy she met in the city deal.

For Anime Escaflowne is a great fantasy romance. It's a bit eclectic though, but it has everything plus more stuff crammed in!

Also I liked Chobits as far as romance goes. Also, it's funny, and that was enjoyable.

If you want straight forward Romance, there are tons. Just look up any shojo. As far as magic/fantasy, you might like Onmyoji. The movies focus on the magic aspect, but the manga is mostly romance. Very interesting.

XXXholic doesn't seem strongly romantic to me, though  But I'll second Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle :)

Try Maburaho, and maybe Onegai[Please!] Twins. Chobits is awesome, and definitely try Midori Days for romance/humor. She: The Ultimate Weapon is excellent as well, but its a tragic story.

Well I'd stay away from Onegai Twins, Really creepy concept, but passable because Mizuho Sensei is in it. :D

If he likes those....well I tried to go for Shojo for some odd reason...

*ahem*

Kanon
Happy World
Angel Tails

Those three are only available in Scanlation format as they haven't been picked up by any american distributors.
