What an awesome damn DVD. Heyman introducing each match and charactor is freakin fantastic! This DVD has every brutal sadistic f-ckin match in ECW's history !

19 in all....also it features the late Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge. The " Mack Daddies of Violence " baby!

Even though it does look decent, it seems to cliche ECW for my liking. I mean, where are the groundbreaking lucha/junior style matches, where is all the stuff that made ECW famous, not infamous?

I can't see how ONS 2 can be any good. They've booked Terry Funk apparently and after last years amazing nostalgia-fest, this year will just seem flat.

Theres talk that WWE may seek to revive the brand as its own product. With how good DVD sales do , PPV Buyrates and attendance. This ONS II maybe an attempt to see if they can bring it back. The storyline is expected to start after Wrestlemania as usual.

I hope they get Shane Douglas this year.

Most of these matches are awful. It's everything vulgar and pointlessly violent people who didn't watch ECW thought it was.

This was NOT what made ECW great.

I really hope they don't bring back ECW at all. How can they do it? Most of the roster is either unable to wrestle or involved in TNA/other brands meaning they couldn;t pull it back unless Paul E. started a new company which means nobody would be interested.

As for Shane Douglas, he works for TNA so there is pretty much no chance of him appearing.

Actually this was what drew people to ECW in the 1st place. In all the mark mag's there were covers of all the violent bloodhsed lol. Its a damn awesome DVD anyhow. That Ian Rotten/Axl Rotten match was just freakin HARDCORE!! :D

Yes, it's what got ECW it's initial buzz and was always a part of the product -- a less and less relevant part as time went on.

It's NOT what made ECW great.

They'll ask TNA's permission as usual. But only Raven and The Dudleyz are locked to TNA deals. I'd love to see Raven and Douglas be allowed back this year.

ECW's hardcore matches were part of it's charm. There were blood bath matches and then they would have great technical matches. It was a great mix of everything, plus the great storylines! If Paul E. was put in charge of ECW again and many of the old performers along with new guys came in I'd watch it, instantly. I don't think Shane Douglas would be asked to participate, WWE got pissed about Shane doing a ECW show last year stealing some of the limelight (it's on DVD too and can be easy to find I saw it at Best Buy just couldn't afford it). For me it even had the better card with the headliner of Sabu, Shane, and Funk in a three way dance!

No...everything made ECW great. You could see a lucha match or a good singles match or a hardcore classic . Time changed in ECW and Heyman dropped a lot of the wild stuff....but he still had the usual mix that made ECW awesome.

RVD going to be in this one? Would be cool to see a RVD vs Jerry Lynn match again.

So, if they weren't allowed to show last year, why would the ybe this year?

Especially with Raven's current health situation.

Hardcore Homecoming. Shane was threw a lotta money last year to take part in the ECW angle. I'd love for him to do it. I'd love for him to just rip on HHH good. :D

Ohh yeahh....thats Rob's regret last year. He wanted to work with Lynn again. He'll get him this year. Both will be healthy finally. :D

TNA may shock us this year. I think they'll want to establish a good working relationship with the WWE now.

Why does ONS 2 have to have a storyline again? I know they need to hype up the ppv but I didn't really care the "crusaders" and that brawl at the end.

I really agree. I think they need to make Heyman RAW GM this year . In fact Joey Styles will be his mole. That it was him who got Styles hired in the 1st place and when the RAW/Smackdown Draft starts he can draft all ex-ECW talents.

Like Benoit , RVD, Rey Mysterio Jr , Super Crazy , Kid Kash....mixed with the usual WWE Main Event stars. Kurt Angle would work as Champion here and Kurt to his horror learns somethin that makes him scared:

" You see Kurt Angle...I didn't draft you to just be a World Champion on RAW. No...I drafted you to be ECW World Champion of ECW RAW ! "

ONS can be an expermint to see if ECW RAW works lol. Be unique and mix in the old ECW stars like Roadkill,Dreamer,Sandman , Credible & Storm thsi angle could sell. Hell if Shane Douglas agrees to do it he can show up and fight Angle for ECW's honor ..even though Kurt doesn't wanna be ECW World Champion . :D :evilsmile

I think they've got enough ECW talent already signed that it's not really necessary to bring in much of anyone, although I sure wouldn't mind another RVD/Lynn match. But they've got Foley, Benoit, Kid Kash, Super Crazy, Nunzio, Psicosis, and Rey Jr. all active right now, and they've got Roadkill in the developmental league, plus Dean Malenko, Tommy Dreamer, and Tazz in non-wrestling positions. Sandman, Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney worked last year's ONS, if Terry Funk's on board, that's more than enough for a PPV. Last year's only had 5 matches, right?

But back to the Bloodsport DVD. I'm tempted on it even though I've got half the matches on other DVDs, but the Paul Heyman stuff is new. I'm torn!

It had a few segments and WWE makes up for denying Justin Credible's place as ECW World Champion as he talks about his run as Champion. Theres more interviews on it.

Also ...it has the Sabu/Funk barbed wire match and besides VHS Tapes I haven't seen it hit DVD ever ! ;)

Oh i don't know but i enjoyed the mass brawling , just as long as they don't overshadow the actual event itself which it didn't really. The matches were still very entertaining and the live crowd ate it up with a great atmosphere.

The hell they do. Jarrett hates them, and the whole Christian title win was a "Screw you!" to them. Using Earl, teasing Montreal, having Christian set up as a credible main-eventer.
