View Full Version : Time for another DC/Marvel Crossover?
Posted this in the Marvel thread but thought i'd post it here since there might be just pure DC fans. Last one was JLA/Avengers. Anyone out there interested in seeing another company crossover?

Don't expect to see one anytime soon. I can't remember where I read it, but DC has stated that with IC and OYL, they will be focusing their time on exploring the "new" DC universe, and had no plans for a cross-over with Marvel.

No, they are not very good anyway, i have no problems to live without such hyped projects.

I honestly believe that for the good of the industry whatever hatred these two companies have for each other needs to go away. No big crossovers though.

I wouldn't mind a second installment of JLA/AVENGERS. The ending left open possibilities that the two teams might have to meet again to deal with another mutual menace.
After the extravaganza that was JLA/AVENGERS, however, I don't know what it'd take to match, let alone top, the original.

Given that there are still major crossovers going on in both Marvel, and DC, now is not the time for a cross over between companies. It makes no sense to do it at all IMO.

No,i wouldnt want it.Marvel still has its bad/egotistical writer block.I dont want that brought over into DC.

wat too much going on in both camps for this to work, or gather reader interest at the moment. with IC still happening and then the aftermath as well as the upcoming civil war at marvel, collectors wallets are allready being hammered enough.

While I would love to see another JLA/Avengers crossover, neither Brian Michael Bendis nor Brad Meltzar are capable of writing it properly. If they got Busiek and Perez back, I would be delighted.

once all these megaevents are over I'd love to see a monthly or even a bi-monthly crossover book with absolutely no hype behind it. I meam of course market it, but dont' make it out to be something HUGE, just have it be normal. It'd be better that way. I think a regular series by the two powerhouses is something that would boost the industry.

I like keeping my Marval and DC worlds apart.

I would welcome the sequel to X-Men/Teen Titans that never happened, with the teams joining up to fight Brother Blood and the Hellfire Club.

That would be awesome.

Alas , the fallout from the original JLA/Avengers affair. I think Jim Shooter has to be blame for that fiasco and for not having the sequel to x-men/teen titans happening.

I agree on the boost to the industry, it exposes marvel readers to DC and vice versa.

Yeah, I remember that the friction between Marvel and DC killed that sequel. I recall how disappointed the Titans' creators seemed to feel over the cancellation of the sequel. Still, I'd love to see that happen now--preferably with the characters that they originally intended to use. :D

I'd love to see them do it in the movies.
Heck, just pair Spider-Man and Batman and watch the box office take soar.

I would love to see another crossover. Especially a Batman/Daredevil and/or a new Batman/Punisher crossover. I think the ones from the 90s were good but one of them was the AZbats. I would prefer to see Bruce and Frank tie up again, that would be so nice.

That said I think it will not happen in the near future. I think the camps are far too apart to get together for the betterment of the standard comic book reader.
Each has the business bottom line to work toward and the personalities in power are in conflict over the last year or so. I really do not see it occurring.

I'm still waiting for the Marvel vs. DC video game! I was really surprised that they didn't take advantage of the hype that 1996's Marvel vs. DC crossover created and spin it into a Mortal Kombat type game. Anyone remember Justice League Task Force? Now imagine that with Marvel AND DC characters!
As far as the real queston here, I'd love to see some more Marvel/DC cross overs. I liked the interaction between Batman and Spider-Man in their two cross overs. The Marvel vs. DC crossover was kind of a cop out concerning the winners and losers, but the idea was solid. I love both companies' characters, so it's only natural for me to want to see them interact.

I've yet to read a decent Marvel/DC crossover so I don't see a need for any more.

I like them in the same way I like most Elseworlds/what-ifs. The more the merrier. Just don't hype them up so our expectations are high
