Hi. Years and years ago, when I was small, someone game me a comic book or a graphic novel (dunno the exact difference). It was in French, so I don’t know if it matters or not. I mean does the language of the comic matter, as long as it is with DC characters?

Ok so, I only remember the cover and very few thing of the actual action. Maybe someone recognizes it. After looking around through the DC universe, now I know some of the names of the superheroes on the cover.

Cover Description: Ok so this is what I remember. In the middle of the page and covering around 60-80% of it, there was Darkseid head (only head). All around his head there were tons of heroes flying toward the page. I remember Batman, Superman, Wonderwoman, Dr. Fate, Green Lantern, Firestorm, The guy on two metal discs (don’t know the name). And there were some of the New Gods (Himon, Fastbak only ones I remember) in there, not sure if on cover but for sure in the comic.

I don’t remember the story. Some other things I remember, is that all the supers split up in teams, and all the action from then on was jumping from group to group.

The book itself was in color, the cover was thick, but not hardcover. After the story with all the superheroes finished, there was another short story afterwards, at the end, with Green Arrow. I guess it was like an intro to a full story, don’t remember. And then on the inside cover there were advertisements of future editions I think.

I really hope someone can identify it. I would greatly appreciate it. It's been driving me crazy trying to remember. And I've searched a lot on the net, and I can't find it.

Hope you can help, Thanx!

Edit: This is a quick pic I made to try to give a basic iead of what it looks like:
The actual cover had many more characters all around Darkseids face.

Sounds like "Cosmic Oddesy" to me

Or it could be "Super Powers" as well.

A helpful insight in tracking it down would narrow down the years. When people make these kind of threads they usually say "when they are small" or "when I was a kid". That really doesn't help.

I say go to GCD (http://www.comics.org/) or Mike's Amazing World of Dc Comics (http://www.dcindexes.com/).

I only know that I had it around 10 years ago, and I doubt it was new. I'll try to put a rough sketch of what I remember.

No worries. I'm sorry the pic on my earlier post disappeared...It would have saved you a lot of trouble. BTW, the issue is the second part of a JLA/JSA crossover. The first part was pencilled by Dick Dillin, who died right after finishing the issue. This issue, #184, was George Perez's first as penciller on JLA. The story concluded in #185.

What you probably read, though, was a French reprint that compiled the 3 chapters and a Green Arrow back up.

Your're most probably right about the French reprint. Ya, this comic was the only one I ever had as a kid. In the country I was born in, comic books were almost non existent (before the late 1990's), to my knowledge anyway.
That's why I was soo determined to find it, it's more than a comic to me. Unfortunately, I think I lost it during the process of coming to Canada. And now I'm redescovering my superhero side, which led me to search for the old comic.
Can't wait for Superman Returns, hope it's good.

Thank you again for your help. :)
