Wizard(a very reliable source! )listed Marrow as depowered: However, this week's Generation M showed Marrow in the Morlock tunnels still covered in bones. Does this mean she still has her powers?
PLEASE don't tell me how much you hate Marrow, ok? Save the hatin' for another post.

Yes, it does seem to be that Marrow is still powered, but there is also the chance that she lost her powers but still has her looks...like many other mutants, though I think it would have been mentioned.

I hope she is still a mutant. I think I am one of the two people on the entire planet that like her. Wish she hadn't reverted to her bones poppin out all over form.

My partner and I both love Marrow too, so there are at least three fans.

Generation M books seems to be confusing a lot of people. For some reason mutants (many of them anyway) are keeping their physical mutations yet losing their actualy powers.
Which makes no sense as a lot of mutant only have physical mutation.
Marrow is depowered. She can no longer generate bones as she used ot but she remained disfigured by her mutation that doesn't exist.

That was not stated in the issue though.....it never said if she had lost her powers or not...as a matter of fact, the Wizard list is the only place that has said she is depowered, and it was wrong on at least two cases.

She is not part of the 198. That is nearly a confirmed list. Although she may not be resigestered of course and if the issue says she is not confirmed then she may not be.
But then if she was an X-man she is registered and therefore depowered. Sorry.

Hahaha, yeah, cause you said so.
It may be the case, I am just saying it has not been confirmed.
By the way, Skids was not in the 198 files, and has since been confirmed as powered. I am sure she would be in the files or whatever, former New Mutant, X-Factor trainee, Acolyte, and X-Corp member.

Wasn't Marrow disfigured from the start and she later used her powers to keep her bones in and make herself look pretty?
Perhaps she did lose her powers and now can't help herself

Fine I'm wrong.

I'd say she's still depowered as well, just that because the bones were physical they're still there. At least that's what people at Comix-Fan are saying. But we'll see what Marvel has to say, if and when one of the handbook writers chooses to confirm her status. :)

Yeah, I'll wait till I have official confirmation. That Handbook listing of the 198 was incomplete anyways: it only listed 62 mutants!

No, it listed 138. If you count Collective Man as 5 and Stepford Cuckoos as 3. :)

It is possible that while genetically she is no longer a mutant, her body has to adapt to her new genetic code... like if Lorna lost her mutant genes, her hair may not instantly turn normal, but has a normal colour at the roots and slowly grows out, Marrow's bones may have to 'grow out'.
Just a theory on physical deformations.

I don't hate Marrow. I think she has potential, but I don't think she's ever been written the way I would like her to be written...except by maybe Frank Tieri.

four! Count me in. it looks like she remains powered after all, and we have to take the 198 as a viewpoint source, not a objective listing. Remember, it's written by an agent of O*N*E* so what goes in there is all that they are aware of.

I'd say she's still powered. Otherwise, her mutation would be affecting her. Others with physical mutations who lost their powers (like the Dragon in Issue #1) couldn't control his physical mutation anymore and thus spazzed, fell, and died. If Marrow lost her powers, her bones would probably have locked up being so disfigured that she cannot move properly and she'd be crippled.

I got the impression she was powered, but all of the mutants so far featured in this series are former mutants, aren't they?
I fear the worst but hope for the best.

My favourite depiction of Marrow is still the Gen X baldy one. The one who would pull a bone from her head then just munch on it? She was still good just after she joined the X-men, under Joe Kelly (was that his name?) but when she went all pink and prickly with Alan Davis, she started going way downhill...

You're telling me. The 198 files tell us in print that Archangel is still powered, and then he turns up with his wings all but stumps on his back.
