Which member of Moira's team do you love the most?

I voted for Petra, but yeah I could care less about any of them if it means Banshee has to be 6 feet under.

Gotta go with Darwin. He's a fun new character, even if his powerset is very 'Lifeguardesque'. :)
Agreed about Banshee though, but mostly because I'm tired of writers killing characters to show how powerful/impressive/unbeatable their new 'Big Bad' is. :(

Eeeeeh!!!! I love them all and also hate the loss of Banshee (and the use of death in that manner). I'm going with Sway though I don't have the first issue of Deadly Genesis yet to judge Petra.
I felt really bad for Darwin, which is why I like him.
Vulcan seems to be a third summers brother I could care about, since I sorta hate the concept of long lost siblings.
Sway is a minority, has a useful and somewhat unique powerset, could work well in X-Factor should she still be alive, also has a tragic (if not common) origin with a twist (she can literally relive the tragic event of her parent's murder).

I have alwasy hated the idea of the 3rd you know what. And I find it stupid. So Vulcan is a no.
But Darwin is coool.
i went with petra since i have to wait to issue six to fully judge vulcan

I'll have to go for Sway because she reminded me of AoA's Switchback, a character I really loved and never got a counterpart in 616.
Never heard anyone talk about Switchback on this board, guess I'm the only one who liked her.

I like Darwin a lot but Petra is so hot. It was a tough choice but I went with Darwin. Now I think I'm actually leaning toward Sway.

Hah, I felt the same way. Petra really is cool, I enjoy her powers, but Darwin's codename puts it into the bag for me. Really clever, though lifeguard wasn't so bad. Although Heather could have done without the lifeguard profession.
But yeah, Darwin is cool.

I'd like to see a Darwin solo involving him on a strange planet or something. That's one Sci-Fi story I'd read. ;)

I would love to see them all- except maybe Vulcan who hasn't doesn't much for me. But not at the expense of Banshee.
I'm kinda in the Alex Ross school of comic deaths- you want to be brave, you want to be edgy, kill Lois Lane, not Sue Dibny. In this case, kill Iceman or Gambit, not Banshee.
On second thought, don't.

As rare an occurance as this is, as of recent, totally agree with you Flight... :D
Seriously, I do actually quite like all of Moira's team, but Vulcan is by far the best character, and let's face it he, kicks ass.

I liked Darwin better when he had huge tits and golden skin.
Petra seemed quite nice.

Yeah but his name's still Vulcan (without digging out the issues, is he seriously honesty to goodness called "Kid Vulcan" in cannon? ~prays that never comes to pass~ ).
Shame about Banshee. Personally I love Sway, great name and powers that haven't been that well used (as in there aren't a hundred like her) which I would really like to see dveloped - course she could be the whiniest, most irritiating character known to man :D
Overall Brubaker - on a power level - has actually done quite well with his 'new' team, reminds me of GenX.

He's a new character, who has never appeared before Deadly Genesis. But yes, in the flashbacks he was called Kid Vulcan. You've got to remember, however, that these flashbacks are occuring at the time of the original 5 X-Men (Plus Havok and Polaris) in that 60s period. 'Kid Vulcan' is no less stupid than 'Marvel Girl' in that context.
I should imagine he will be refered to as just 'Vulcan' from now on, mind.

Good point on the Kid, I still don't like Vulcan though unless he was obsessed with Trek as a kid even so you'd kinda hope he'd grow out of it. Yes I'm more than aware of Roman mythogology (though I'd suspect your average reader isn't), however in today's pop culture, Vulcan = Trek.
(Flashbacks must be in the most recent issue, haven't picked it up yet)

I kinda like Vulcan as a character and as a future villain. Except that you know in five years, he'll be reformed and on an X-team.
I am not a fan of time stopping powers (just because frankly, I don't think that out of all the crazy mutant powers out there that this one is even remotely plausible). However, I think Sway has a pretty cool set of powers in that she can replay past events. I also liked that she was limited. Leave the godlike superheros to DC (or death ;))
And I just plain like Darwin. I think the geeky pajamas/robe sold it for me in this issue.
Teen Titans forever ruined me on Terr...Petra.

I'll take none of them over Banshee, but that said I say Kid Vulcan. I just think he's the most interesting character. I actually pretty much like all 4.

I voted "None of them are worth losing Banshee for, damn it!" His death left a bad taste in my mouth, and that has ruined anything coming out of Deadly Genesis for me.

I honestly got that feel too (and that's a VERY good thing to me). I also liked how in just a few pages I really got a good friends/family feel between the four.

Ah no, she was great. But once Ellis left the X-Verse the first time, that was the last we saw of her.

I'm gravitating more towards Darwin since his powers and his backround are so damn interesting and cool but Vulcan is pretty much going to be the most fleshed out so eventually he'll probably be my favorite.

Wow, so Moira has formed two teams of X-Men, now. Except this one supposedly comes first.
Nothing "supposed" about it. :)
I'm gonna go with Darwin, right behind Kid Vulcan. He's probably the character with the most layers, and his powers were portrayed in a very unique fashion. I kinda wish we could see "The Evolving Boy" in action in "current" times, but I think we all know what's happened to him...
Vulcan is cool, too. He has an interesting history that's rooted in the X-Men mythos, and his motivations and backstory are pretty brilliant. I can see him as a long-term nemesis (or supporting character) of the X-Men, and I think he's a Magneto-caliber villain in terms of motivations and opwer level.
Overall Brubaker - on a power level - has actually done quite well with his 'new' team, reminds me of GenX.
Genx... my poor Generation X!(Sobs)

I haven't been following Deadly Genesis, but is it available as a graphic novel yet?
The Professor explained that Vulcan has been pushed up to Omega level because of the mutant energy he and Darwin were exposed to... So in what other ways could that affect Darwin's abilities to make him "Omega" as well? (other than regenerating a new body)

I voted Darwin as well (I like his current role in UXM), but agree with Beast on the fact that Banshee's death doesn't make me take Vulcan any more seriously or see him as a 'big time' villain, so it was totally unnecessary.

I voted for Darwin. His powers are an interesting concept, and his childlike awe of the X-Men serves to lighten the tone somewhat through the current Uncanny arc. I'm enjoying the way he plays off the rest of the team, and his frustration with being held back by the professor.
The third Summers brother is a bit of a stretch, but then so is much of the Summers family history to begin with. I agree that Banshee didn't need to be sacrificied to boost Vulcan's stature as a villain.
