Star Ocean 1 Translation/Release

Has there been any word or rumor from Square Enix about *finally* translating and releasing the first Star Ocean to the US market??

I have not heard of such a release.

It'd be nice to see a port to GBA or DS, but they're doing that with the early Final Fantasy games now. Final Fantasy III for the DS should be chucked out and replaced with Star Ocean IMO.

Then there's Enix's Valkyrie Profile which is coming to PSP with some extras on it, and is leading to the prequel being released for ps2 later on. This satisfies me at least. :cool:

Oh, the VP rereleases and sequels are certainly good things. Its just, I really like Star Ocean 2, and Star Ocean 3 was fun in spite of its faults. I'd really like to play the game that started it all, except I don't know Japanese and Dejap apparently got sued or something.

I also wouldn't mind a GBA re-release of Blue Sphere, the GBC follow-up to SO2 that was at one point planed to hit the states, but got canned.
