Phase One, 1 minute
Cannonball will start to blast across the field, while Sunspot powers up to take him on. Meanwhile, Meltdown tosses off a few time-bombs, but Anole catches them with his tongue, holds them in his mouth for a second while running towards her. When he is at least a foot away from her, he opens his mouth and uses his tongue to throw Meltdown’s bombs at her. Trance, meanwhile, uses her energy form to phase through Outlaw, to prevent her from taking potshots at my team.

Cannonball will mostly likely deflect Sunspot with his force-field. Sunspot just keeps on hitting him with everything he’s got.

Phase Two, .45 seconds after phase one
Bruiser and Layla Miller, the two brats on the team, smack-talk each other until it escalates into a bitch-slapping fight. Bruiser may be the most powerful of the two, but Layla is smart, she “knows stuff,” so she is prepared for Molly’s screams by covering her ears. When Molly tries to punch her using her super strength, Trance steps in to the rescue, lashing psi-energy at her. Molly is down.

Phase Three, .5 seconds
Cannonball and Sunspot are still battling it out. They really hate each other and has lots of issues to resolve.

Phase Four, 2 minutes
As for the rest of the team, X-23 dodges Squirrel Girl’s nutbombs and just viciously attacks her without mercy and moves onto Paige. Meanwhile, Peter Wisdom goes after Ricochet. Wisdom’s training will give him an added resistance to all of Ricochet’s tricks, so he takes him down easily. Husk “husks” as fast as she can, but X-23’s claws are strong and sharp—made of the same stuff as Wolverine’s, so they can cut through practically anything. Try as she might, Paige is no match for X-23.

Phase Five, .2 seconds
Cannonball’s endurance is finally drained and Sunspot drives home a direct punch for the win.

Stage 1:

Layla Miller's ability to "know stuff" means that best course of action is hit strong, hit fast, and hit hard. So, simultaneously:

Cannonball blasts off at Sunspot, his flight skills and his blast shield should keep him safe from Sunspot's energy blasts, and while strong, he's not invulvernable, while Cannonball is, one good shot at him, be it a tackle, punch, or mid-air slam, is all Sam needs to take out Roberto.

Paige husks into rubber to give her super-speed, enabling her to quickly knock out a still solid Trance, and Layla Miller, who other than her foresight, has no real defense. Afterwards, she will then husk into steel to aid Outlaw.

Meltdown will keep Pete Wisdom busy by trading energy attacks with him, his hot knives may be smaller and slightly quicker, but they don't cover as much area as one of her energy bombs, will which be a difference maker.

Outlaw will go after Ursa Major, shooting him with as many bullets as she can until she's in melee range, then she'll go hand to hand against him.

Ricochet, being the most agile, will engage Anole in combat, his experience will valuable, and his danger sense and his attack discs will aid him in this fight against Anole's camoflouge power and is tongue.

Molly will help out Ricochet in his fight with Anole, her strength should come in handy.

Stage 2:

Between the extra strength and durabilty that Paige is granted by her steel form, and Outlaw's super-strength, Ursa Major, even in his bear form, will be defeated, he may be strong, but the odds aren't in his favor.

Similiarly, the numbers game will be the downfall of Anole, between Ricochet's speedy attacks, and Bruiser's pure power, Anole will go down, even if Victor tries to play on Molly's youth and overexubarance, Johnny's danger sense will help him avoid wayward attacks.

Stage 3:

With just Pete Wisdom left, the entire team will now focus on him, the former secret agent is good, but the numbers are against him, and one person able to outgun him (Meltdown), two invulnerable to attacks (Cannonball and steel Husk), one able to attack out his range (Outlaw via her guns), one able to didge his attacks and still attack from a distance (Ricochet), and one abke to overpower him (Bruiser), he won't last long.

With victory assured, the team will now head back to rest, recover, and plan for any other fights they may have.

2 issues:

Anole grabbing Tabby's bombs and hurling them back at her, is not that too much of a problem, except, that Tabs can make the bombs explode whenever

Paige into the superspeed rubber thing, and pardon me if this has been answered before, but when in the 616 did that ever happen?

i think it was an issue of counterX generationX's first arc at the airport generation x gets attacked and paige husks a black rubber form with increased speed...

damn now i remembered what marvels done to generation X after i worked so hard to forget (sobs uncontrollably)

I love Joe's argument between Bruiser & Layla, Molly would definitely get into a row first. A nice comic touch :)

Anole grabbing energy bombs with his tongue is a problem but so is Outlaw vs Ursa Major in hand-to-hand combat. and what is Squirrel Girl doing this match, Lonewolf?

However I'm leaving this one for Siddon to vote in as I voted earlier & I expect him to be around soon enough. If he's not voted by this afternoon i'll review strategies and vote then

Well as I reread the strategies, both teams have ignored some of the other characters on the others' teams, but Lonewolf's was a little more detailed, covered more bases than Joe's and so goes my vote.

LW's was more comprehensive. Joe's idea of Anole catching Meltdown's bombs in his mouth and tossing them back is clever, but neglects the key fact that she can detonate them whenever she wants... I think he just took his own character out with that move. Also, Sunspot is no match for Cannonball, especially in the air, and Layla Miller "knows stuff" but is no fighter, so she'd probably just "know" when Molly was about to bust her in the mush. And if Anole is out, then Ricochet is free to help Outlaw with Ursa Major, which I think could turn the tide of things. Gotta give this to LW21.
