Now that Polaris has been confirmed for the Uncanny line-up, what does everyone think will happen in the Apocalypse arc and beyond for her?

Yes, I love the new costume. About time the knock-off Darkstalkers look was vanquished.
Hopefully she's sane again, but I'd actually like Havok and Polaris to stay apart for a bit.

I'd go as far as to say that is the (one of) the best costume(s) Lorna has ever had.

I think this whole Daap/Apocalypse jiminiwong is gonna change her though. Maybe make her crazy.

I'm glad she's still an X-Man, but dissapointed that she has to be on the same team as Alex again. I hope they never get back together ever again. They're much better apart from eachother.

I don't think she will become one of the horsemen. I think she is thé supprise of the Apo-arc and she will defeat Apocalypse at the end with her new powers.

Wanda living vocifurously through Lorna since her woogies began? Allowing her to be crazy and new-genetic-daddy obsessed in one place and perfectly sane in another? Hello Id meet Superego. (I actually like that.)


The costume is an improvement, as to what I think it likely to happen to her, I haven't a clue. Just hoping a step away from the looney toon I want to smash to bits with an anvil we've had for awhile (and after the Austen to Milligan soap fest a characters independant of relationships would be nice for both Lorna & Alex).

I don't know. I like the Quesada-designed one that she wore that was red and gold. Turn it green and gold and it would have been perfect.

Her costume is mediocre in my opinion. I actually really liked her previous costume, but change is good I guess.

I'm a litte curious at what the writer means when he says that Lorna won't be like the one we love. I loved the Lorna during the X-Factor run, but I think you'll all agree tha Austen/Milligan Lorna is completely different, and unhinged. This version's been around a while, so now the question is, which "Lorna we've come to love" is going to change? Hmmmm, curious.

I am glad she seems to have her powers back and is on Havok's team, and I hope they get together again, because we had to endure sexual tension between them for a while now, so to just dismiss it would suck. But, I'll take what I can get.

Marvel calling it a 'Secondary Mutation' was just stupid. Only Emma's counts as a Secondary Mutation. :)

Actually, Polaris has been in some kind of psychic thrall since her creation in Uncanny X-Men #49-51. The mutant stimulator machine not only activated Lorna's latent magnetic powers, but subjucated her will to serve the Magneto robot.

Since Lorna Dane has wanted a life outside of X-Men, she is victim to many of the X-Men's foes such as Davan Shakari & Mr. Sinister.

I can see that coming too . Frankly with change hinted for her , how could she remain insane ? That would hardly be a change thats all she has been recently .

I'm kinda wondering the same thing, maybe she went back to genosha and had Mr. Sinister give her powers, cause i'm thinking he found and kept the machine to make the mutates or whatever the machine did that gave Magneto back his powers in Dark Seduction.

Cool. See my idea no strings off the fact it is coloured wrongly on purpose. Ilike they did with that Uncanny X-men cover and colouring Psylocke with Green hair (which reaaaallly worked :rolleyes: ).

Btu lets look at the cast. Xavier, obvious, still helping her. But she's better due to her own magic. Nightcrawler, they can hook up. Rachel, Havok and Warpath, none of these know about HoM and what really happened. No Wolverine, Scott or Emma being all weird.

Although technically Nightcrawler should know but has oddly forgot.

Sinister was interested in her before, enough to kill Senator Saffron, whose plans were endangering "Havok and Polaris" and enough to intervene with Malice who went after Polaris and Havok later on.

Last night I completely forgot Rachel was Jean's daughter from an alternate universe lol. I thought she was her sister with thier ages and all. When I woke up today it flashed in my mind and I was like.....ohhhh thats just a tad bit wrong.

I think this is the most likely explanation of what Brubaker said about her not being anything like the Polaris we know. I think her psyche and Daap's will merge. She wont quite be Lorna anymore, and she wont be Daap. A hybrid, gestalt, entity who will hwave to work out how to function in the team, and around Havok.
