I started reading comics again summer of last year, and I just realized...I haven't seen storm anywhere. What exactly happened to her?

Marvel retconned her history to include a teenage romance with Black Panther. Now they are getting married and she has left the X-men to go live with him.

Seriously. I'm not joking.

wow...that's different. Is she still with the x-men, or are they entirely out of the picture?

Right now she is totally out of the picture. There is talk of a Storm mini or ongoing. And no doubt she will pop up from time to time. Marvel is also doing some big special event about the wedding.

If you ask me, its all pretty lame. Its one thing to slowly build a romance in a comic and then have characters marry. Its another to insert a whole bunch of never before seen history in the course of an issue or two, and then have the characters marry without warning.

I think I like x-men continuity better when I pick and choose what I want in it.

In this case, I'll just pretend it never existed.

She made a cameo appearance in Uncanny X-Men #469 via Hologram.

But yes, she was kidnapped by Reggie 'What's Continuity?' Hudlin to serve as the Black Panther's bride to try to up sales on that awful book. The wedding will be this summer, but there will be build up to it until then. Such as the 'Storm' miniseries which is expanding on the first meeting of T'Challa and Ororo from Marvel Team-Up #100.

I actually think it sounds kind of interesting and from what I've seen it looks pretty good. :D

what happened to black panter's old wife/fiance from the early 90s?If by "early 90s" you mean as seen in the 1998 series, he and Monica Lynn have moved on.

what happened to Storm???

Give an important if not iconic character to actual Marvel & you'll see.
They will manage to make the character more convoluted or behaving in a way that is too odd & totally uninteresting.

It's not a retcon but occured in an old old marvel team up.

Nothing says "moving on" like being randomly written into a more popular character's past

Really, I don't have a problem at all witih Storm leaving Xavier's and rediscovering her feelings for T'Challa. I don't have a problem with them getting married. I actually find it completely believable for the two characters involved. T'Challa's always been open with his feelings for Ororo, and with Monica pretty much having shut him down for the final time, he's realizing that he'd not only find a lover in Storm, but the perfect queen for Wakanda. And Storm's already lost at least one "true love." Coming off of HoM has probably caused Ororo to open up the the feelings for T'Challa that she's kept in check all these years.

Whether Hudlin's story does the idea justice or not...that remains to be seen.

Storm did not have a romance with T'Challa in Marvel Team-Up #100. Ororo helped T'Challa fight off a villian when she was on her way to Kenya from Egypt. Yes, Marvel is retconning Storm's history to fit with Hudlin's premise of the so-called "romance" between Ororo & T'Challa.

Long term, it's a bad move on Marvel's part.

Actually she DID have a romance with him, but they are making it a bigger deal than it actually was.

I agree and i'm liking the idea so far . I only wish we'll have a chance to see the couple under other writers than Huddlin , either as cameos , or when his BP run is done .
