Classic Excalibur Vol. 2 and Champions Vol. 1 TPBs in July!!

Cool, it looks like the first TPB was a good enough seller that we're getting a second release in May. Shame that it wasn't coming out in May as originally teased on the Marvel Essentials website though. According to the Marvel Essentials website Marvel's Director of Sales David Gabriel confirmed that it is indeed coming.

Not only that, they're also releasing a Champions TPB Vol. 1. Weird they didn't just do an Essential. I'm including it in the title of the thread, as it did feature Angel and Iceman during their non-X-Men years. Also coming, but not X-Related is Black Panther (Jack Kirby's) Vol. 2 and Avengers Asssemble HC Vol. 3. Coolness. :)

Yeah, saw that the other day. Good news- I already own a full set of Excalibur (which I'm just getting around to reading now, good stuff), and it's nice to see the Champions getting some love too. Still would have preferred them to get an Essential instead, but there may be reasons that couldn't happen. (Or maybe they just felt there wasn't enough material.) Anyway, good news!

Whoa! What's with the colouring in that amazon pic for Excalibur vol2? It's like looking at an image on a TV that needed the tube replacing.

I have all these issues at home, but I have to say I've been tempted to bick up both TPBs, purely to save on pulling them out my loft if I want to read over them... :D

It takes place between issues 10 and 11 of Excalibur. Kitty specifically mentions in the story that they've just finished dealing with the Nazi versions of themselves.

Champions was in April's previews as it's scheduled for release in June. Classic Excalibur Vol. 2 should be in May's, since it's due in July or August. :)
