WOW! im totally syked for this issue! Going to be awsome, thanks for the info there mate :). although i just started collecting ocmics and i have just started the ultimate spidey series and im only up to issue 28 so i guess i have a lot to catch up with, but i cannot wait. :D

Welcome to the boards & Welcome to the addicting world of comics! I started a few years back now when the first Spider-man movie hit theaters. Bought the first 3 Ultimate Spidey hardcovers and it's been insane ever since, I have a pull list of about a bajillion comics a week now! :P

Wow, pretty cool there, and thanks for the welcome. What are these hardbacks (sorry if thats a newbish question) but like i just baught isues 23 24 25 26 27 28 comics erm...whats the difference between the comics and the hardbacks? if you dont mind answering :P :) would be a great help mate

I really reccommend getting the hardcovers. Each one contains about 13 issues and they come in volumes, I think theres around 7 now. Its the best way to get caught up to date on the series. I also reccomend Ultimate x-men vol.1 & 2 or Ultimates Vol.1 hardcover. Those were a great read and you'll get a good feel for the ultimate universe. Anyway, check out THIS LINK (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/078510898X/ref=pd_sim_b_1/002-7006569-4368052?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=283155) for a look at volume 1 on Amazone. You should be able to pick these up any any local comic book store though, hope that helps!

"normal" Marvel is known as the *616* universe. This is the universe that has run for ages. The Ultimate universe began in the year 2000 and is a retelling of all the major marvel heroes in an updated fasion. I reccomend you check out these two links if you want some detailed information on both...

What's the point of making it sound like there is a new character in the UU when it's SO OBVIOUS that it's Kitty. Unless it's not and we are just meant to THINK it's Kitty.....

Well, based on the preview pages, I can see that Peter and Kitty's relationship is in jeapordy of ending because:

A. While Kitty does have the ability to defend herself, she seems to make a lot of mistakes that could not only put civilains and villains in danger, but Spidey as well, which he'll, I'm sure he'll complain to her about while she'll sarcastically disagree and chew him out on, just like Spidey and Black Cat's relationship in the 616 universe.

B. Like I said awhile back, even though Kitty's wearing a costume and a mask, somebody is going to figure out that Spidey's new partner has the EXACT SAME POWERS as a certain member of the X-Men, who, as far as the public are concerned, are nothing more than mutant terrorists. And if Nick Fury decides that Peter shouldn't be Spider-Man anymore, then what better way than to blackmail Peter by not only threatening to expose him as Spidey, but that he's also romantically involved with a known mutant?

That's who I thought it was at first. and here's another fan hoping kitty and spidey can stay together. I don't want the ultimate universe to just turn into an updated 616, what's the reason for relaunching if you're going to make it exactly the same. surprise us a bit marvel.
