Good stuff. I like the stuff for Cyclops. The man is like Peter Parker when it comes to relationships, he's only happy w/ a redhead.

Whew that scared me. The only reason I like Cyclops is the Emma relationship. I hope they don't spit on that. That'd be another clusterf-ck .

Also, with Thunderbird as one of the 198, what are the chances of him returning to the books with Karima, and of course a reunion with Psylocke?
Mike Marts -- That’s a story waiting to happen.

why does mart keep saying lorna's dead, she basically is'nt he's just trying that salesman tone- "is'nt she?" and it does look like lorna appears on the sketch that Tan has drawn.

Either that or like Bobby, the 'Wanda Woogie' rebooted his mutation. He lost his healing blood (hopefully) and his wings, but like when he was a teenager, they grow back in? :)

so basically i think he's trying to say lorna is going to be presumed dead for while, thus meaning she's in character limbo hell. i really really hope she ends up in an x-title ASAP. or she gets a huge storyline soon.
i think that she is the fourth horsemen, so marvel can say nothing at the moment. i think she might get killed :P
"emma frost will never be the same"---i just dont believe quesada! like when they said they were going to split the internet in half...
the vulcan thing... i'm sure he will end up in uncanny, teaming with them against xavier and the starjammers. if that happens, i'm happy.
i'd love toad to join any of the teams :D

Hmmmm....
Xavier returning to the X-Men? Lame and retro
Starjammers show up? Awesome.
A new relationship for Marvel Girl? Err...Siryn has Warpath's name on her, but Kurt would be nice...
Something big for Colossus in AXM 14? Okayyyy
Emma Frost never the same again? I'm worried and excited at the same time.
X-23's origins? I don't wanna hear it.
More of Wolverine's origins? I really don't want to hear it.
Possibly dead Polaris? That's going to make me very angry.
Guthrie interactions in New X-Men? About time!!!
616 Mimic not showing up? Good, because it isn't the right time.
New Excalibur/Exiles crossover? Risky, but lots of potential.
New costumes? Shadowcat, Cannonball, Cyclops, Wolverine, Bishop, and Beast all need new costumes.
Deadpool in X-Men? hahaha. Nice.
Toad corrupting the students with Magneto's former views? Not Toad's job. Leave that to the Shadow King.
yay! More than 198 are still mutants!
Some fans keep reminding Marts about how Magik isn't dead with that magikal back door? That was me!!!! I hope she is brought back, as soon as possible!
Thunderbird reuniting with Psylocke, Karima, and Lifeguard? Can't wait!!!!!
Mutant hobos sleeping outside at Xavier's joining the X-Men? Nooooooo
Archangel confusion? I think he is no longer a mutant, but his wings are a permanant physical thing that can't be rid of unless cut off or whatever. So he's not a mutant, but he has mutant powers. Cool! I think...

The cover to Gen M shows he's lost his wings but is apparently one of the 198.
Havok: Mr. Alex Summers, meet Mr. William Shakespeare. Hmmm, what?!

How is Xavier returning retro and lame?Alright, maybe it isn't lame, but it's definitely retro. When X-Men started, it was a group of kids who lived at a mansion in Westchester, and they were taught by a bald man in a wheelchair how to use their powers. Stan Lee created this status quo. Roy Thomas continued this status quo. Chris Claremont then continued this status quo, but then he realized that it's time to move on and progress. It was time for a change. Xavier left the X-Men in 1986, with the writer's intention for good. The mansion was blown up in 1988. For Xavier, that's 1963-1986, or 24 years!!! It was time for the X-Men to quit crying in corners in their little hideout in New York and start getting out into the world and kicking ass, or in other words, becoming more proactive. Madelyne Pryor talked about taking the offensive and striking at their enemies in Uncanny X-Men 227, and then Cable made the same comment in Uncanny X-Men 273. Stan Lee's concept went as far as it can possibly go. Some might say that it went farther than it should have. In 1991, Bob Harras failed to appreciate the value of story progression and change in the status quo, so therefore he decided to go alllll the way back to square one. That means Xavier is at the school teaching a bunch of adults. All story progression and change of the status quo was annihilated so new readers that might be drawn in from the action figures or the Fox cartoon can better understand the X-Men. Is the fact that the X-Men are no longer based at the mansion really that confusing to new readers? It certainly wouldn't confuse me. Xavier should no longer be in the X-Men. His time there is done. His place needs to be taken by Storm, or Cyclops, or Cable, or Beast (HTC aside), or whoever. I don't care if he is in space leading a rebellion, or if he's killed by the Shadow King, or if he's rebuilding Genosha, or if he's fighting nazis in Israel. I just want to feel like the X-Men have moved on from square one. The X-Men living at the mansion and being taught by Xavier was great. Really, it was. But it's time to move on to the next phase. Writers like Brubaker and Whedon and the editors seem to be attempting to go back to the status quo during the Claremont/Byrne era, while ignoring everything that came in between the Claremont/Byrne era and themselves.

Word. I think. I love Toad, but I dunno if I'd really want him to be an X-man. I don't think he'd want to either, so much.
Toad corrupting the students with Magneto's former views? Not Toad's job. Leave that to the Shadow King.
That, and he seems rather laid back to be al "corrupt corrupt corrupt". Or at least, he seemed it in the first issue. I mean, come on, this guy's been around since the begining--he's seen it all.

No NO NO !!! Syrin has Deadpool tattooed on her !! And yes Kurt would be nice , but since its supposed to be new , i'm not sure(and the Kurt/rachel angle was hinted) .
Anyway the only forbidden thing would be Havok ... it would be incest and gross , even thought we aint certain cyclops is her father .

Leading a rebellion throughout Shi'ar space is certainly a big thing, right? No NO NO !!! Syrin has Deadpool tattooed on her !! And yes Kurt would be nice , but since its supposed to be new , i'm not sure(and the Kurt/rachel angle was hinted) .I never said Siryn doesn't have Deadpool tattooed on her. I loved both the Terry/DP romance and the James/Terry romance, but imo the James/Terry romance comes out on top. Look biological or not, Rachel has memories of Cyclops raising her, he's her father.Quentin Quire has plenty of memories of his "parents" raising him...
...He was adopted.
Rachel may very well be the offspring of Jean and the Phoenix Force itself.
But yes, a Rache/Alex thing would be disgusting, especially after X-Men Unlimited (2nd Series) 11.

There has been nothing shown that Rachel's memories of her childhood were false so why wouldn't Cyclops be her father? When I say father I mean that he was there when she was a baby, he raised her the entire time he was alive.
Yes, leading a fight into Shi'ar Space is a bigger thing, but you were talking about him returning.
Also a Havok/Marvel Girl pairing...where the hell do ya'll think this stuff up? I mean didn't they have an issue where she called him Uncle...that Unlimited X-Men issue. I think it'll be Nightcrawler. Claremont already planted that seed and Brubaker did say he was doing a lot of reading.

We acutally were excluding that possiblity and calling it gross :D .
And i'd like Kurt/Rachel , but i'm not sure it totally fits the "new and unique" part of the description .

For some sick reason when ya'll mentioned the Alex/Ray Love all i could think of was the scene from Bad Santa and instead of what Lauren Graham says it's "ImFucknUncle! ImFucknUncle!" over and over.

I know, but the Toad is totally not that kind of villain. It's not the way he operates.
I dunno, he's hard to get a bead on, because he's changed pretty drastically. But the whole Xorn bit--villianous, but "what am I supposed to do, sing anti-human songs?" He's not good at dealing with people and he knows it.
Since I was out for awhile, I was a little confused as to why he went back to Mags in the first place, seeing as how he was quite bitter about him during the x-men Forever run...

He also sorta had an attitude of "these young new kids have no idea about how things work"...doesn't seem to like new blood so much.

Depending on how they write him, I think he can 'spread the word of Magneto' a bit. Toad walking around a lot of young, impressionable mutants, going "Yeah, I know Magneto. Saved his ass back in 'Nam."-type stuff and then bask in the admiration of the crowd.

I dunno. Toad can't get admiration. He could try, but I can't imagine him impressing...anyone, really. Maybe the stripper he saved or something, but I think even most remaining students would be underwhelmed. He kinda excudes patheticness, even in his slightly cooler form.
Besides, there's a plethora of rowdies ready to do that.
Eh, I guess it's just because the mini started with Mort doing the "hero thing, however reluctantly, that I kinda hope he'll stick with it. Not, y'know, a bold new X-man or something, but a little less...eh, I dunno.
I think I missed something though. Why was he all about following Magneto again?

Ya know...when Bendis was busy decidin Alpha Flight had to die for our comic book sins...why not these guys. I'd actually shake his hand and bow down to him at a Convention had he offed Thunderbird III. Can we ask him to in New Avengers 17. Can we also ask him to swing by Genosha and make sure those jokers never get powers again and kill them too ?
In all I'm a happy poster. Milligan had me despising Lorna and what she had became in 10 issues. I never thought a writer could take someone so interesting and where a previous writer left them and proceede to write em as sh-t.
