I was just wondering if this series is anything like the early Cable series in the ninties, but say...with better stories? :p
I thought I'd subscribe because Cable was in it though I think Deadpool's humor may get on my nerves. How's their relationship? Thanks guys.

No, it's nothing like that early series.
This one is good.
There's a nice balance between Cable's seriousness and Deadpool's humor; I'm not really a Deadpool fan myself.
That said, some of the writing tries a little too hard to be heady...to seem smart. But I still enjoy it.

 Heady, eh? Must be a bit like some JLA issues I've read and that I stopped buying because of that very reason. But, I'm still stoked, thanks.

The ninities series was ace... but this series is also good... mattbib hit it right on the nail...

Cable's more interesting and multi-layered than ever.
Deadpool is cool enough for his own solo.
What more could you ask for? :D

Fabian seems to have his own little segment of the Marvel Universe made up of his characters and series's. (What's the plural of a series?). Latest Issue of C/D mixes with New Thunderbolts and then later on an arc deals with Flagsmasher whose another Fabian character.
I think Cable and Deadpool need to guest star in other comics rather than have them go places. That's how you get sales up have Deadpool appear in Thunderbolts or have the Thunderbolts try and attack Providence...sorry I'm wondering off topic.
Cable & Deadpool= Good

Thanks guys, I can't wait for my first issue to arrive in...4 MORE WEEKS!
It sucks, but watcha gonna do when you really want something, you know?
Oh, and can I expect such appearances such as Domino, Ozymandias, and Grizzly--though I know he died in the '90's, forgot how though.
One more small but big point: Are there Big Guns?!

Ozmandias will prob be in the next 2 issues. The arc after that is supposed to be all about Domino.
She has appeared earlier though. Around #12/13 I think.

She was part of Six Pack, which puts her around Burnt Offering... Issue 7-12... I cannot remember laddie. Her part was'nt big though this upcoming arc will be about her though.

Thanks guys, I can't wait for my first issue to arrive in...4 MORE WEEKS!I should warn you that issues 1-6 aren't really that good . Acceptable, but not good. But 7-onwards is top notch.
Oh, and can I expect such appearances such as Domino, Ozymandias, and Grizzly--though I know he died in the '90's, forgot how though.Domino was forced to kill Grizzly in Cable 27. It was a good issue. I wouldn't appreciate it if Fabian brings Grizzly back, although GW Bridge, Hammer, and Domino all turned up last year in Cable and Deadpool 7-12. Domino is also coming back in May. I wish the upcoming Domino arc could be longer than two issues, because I love Domino. She's one of my favorite characters to come out of the 90's.
One more small but big point: Are there Big Guns?! :eek:No, there aren't, so I wouldn't worry. The Big Guns can be found on the first covers by Liefeld, and Cable uses one once in issue 14 I think, but otherwise no, this book is free from that kind of stuff. With Cable's powers at god-like levels again, it appears there won't be any need for any big guns for a very, very long time. Hopefully forever.

I like Domino too. When you say Cable's powers are back up to god-like levels again, this is good, right?

I was basically asking if does Cable use his powers properly or is it basically just out of control. Of course the writer has alot to do with it.

The upcoming arc with Domino is a four parter.

I found the humor got on my nerves way too much. The series is definately far more Deadpool-centric than Cable-centric. I dropped it a couple of months ago.

I just think Deadpool's personality out does Cable's.
It would be like...being at a party. Wade is going to be the life of the party(Some will love him and some will hate him). Some people would actually not go depending on whether he is there. Most people would go, just to see what happens.
His humor somtimes gets to me, but most of the time he has me laughing in disbelief.

That's what I was also wondering, if Deadpool would overpower Cable's half.
I'm really sensitive too that kinda thing. But, I'm already subscribed, I'll get used to it. It's not the first time I've had to get used to annoying characters.
