Lone Ranger

All right - it's been nearly a year, but here is a new jumble. Now, maybe METAROG will stop sending me death threats :p
The Rules
1. Take a look at the jumble, download image to your hard drive if your prefer.
2. If you recognize a cover - indicate the title and issue #
3. Please wait either 6 hours or until someone else has posted an answer, before posting another answer (whichever occurs earliest)
4. I will post clues to help with some of the tougher covers.
There are 16 covers in this Jumble.
Good Luck and Have Fun!

I'm surprised myself! I thought I recognized it, but I was thinking of the one with Daredevil leaping over an open trapdoor. But, what do you know? There it is on the same page of thumbnails! So, faulty memory or dumb luck? I dunno. I'm just glad I got one. Now I can sit back and be amazed by everyone else.

I don't care how far you pushed me around, Ranger, but you went too far when you featured no art from the Kirby cover of Headline Comics No. 46 (http://www.comics.org/coverview.lasso?id=127918&zoom=4) featuring stories 'adapted from TRUE Police and F. B. I. cases!'

Well, I have the comic. But that's not how I found it. It was another case of being in the right place for the wrong reason. I thought that figure in the lower right corner of the Cover Jumble might be Captain Marvel, so I went to the GCD for a look. And while I was scanning the thumbnails that red-arrow caption popped out at me. Weird but true.

Yup - I think that's the right number, but I'll never really understand the Fox numbering system (or lack thereof).

For clarity
The three pieces remaining are:
1. Bottom Right Corner
2. Middle of the Right Side - underneath the villain from the Marvel Team Up issue.
3. Left Side - immediately to the left of the piece in #2.

That bottom right corner seems like it would be simple with two easily identifiable heroes. (Yes, I know I thought one was Captain Marvel, but now I can see I was obviously wrong.) But so far no luck.

Of the 3 remaining
One was published in the 50s, one in the 60s and one in the 90s.

1 is a Big Two comic

Well, the Big Two piece from the '90s is obviously in the lower right corner. I think I recognize Captain America and Wolverine. Too bad I stopped reading Marvel comics around 1990.
The one depicting mountain climbing looks like it could be a Disney cover, but I haven't had any luck searching for it. (At first I thought it could be a Gladstone, but I realized the Marvel comic had to be the one from the '90s because of Wolverine.)

The one literally "published by the Big Two" is DC vs. Marvel #4.
And why no mummy this time?

Nice catch MWG - I was hoping someone would read my hint literally (although I do believe #1 and #4 were technically published by DC and Marvel did 2 & 3, but there's no fun in that level of detail).
About two-thirds of the way through this one, I realized it was mummy-free and it was too late to rectify. I'll try to include one next time around.

That Four Color comic really hurts. I can't tell you how much time I spent there and other places looking for a snow-capped peak and yellow rope. Sigh...

You are very welcome, ROG - it was my pleasure.
It may take a while before I can get another one up and running.
In the meantime, check out the fabulous Gray Morrow cover.
