I stumbled on this 12-issue series, today. Flipped through it and found that it appeared rather interesting. Also seems to have a definite end which is something I can dig.
It's a series from the early 90s (93, I believe). Anyone ever give it a read, and like to share your thoughts?
I'll add mine after I've had time (which isn't on my side, it seems) to give'er a go...

I think BC was one of the bright spots in a dismal era for mainstream superhero comics. Morales didn't go in for the heavily-exaggerated 90's look that appears so dated now; it's a clean, traditional style that has aged well. I loved the simplicity of the concept: minimal powers (flight, basically), and a lead that had no interest in being a superhero. I seem to recall a few threads left dangling after its unfortunate cancellation involving the character's origin and his connection to the original BC (who I think appeared as a spirit or dream or something).
Similar short-run good stuff from around the same era at DC: Primal Force and Chain Gang War.

Well, that's good to hear. I was actually fearing more of the 90s crap that I've been uncovering. Blech.
Course, now I'm even more interested in reading the series. Yippee!
Thanks for the response. :)

I liked the series quite a bit. In fact I still have the retailer promo poster (I was working at a comic shop at the time). It fell apart a bit the last three or so issues, but Rags' art was quite good — I believe it was only his second book for DC. The Lou Fine influence in his work really came through in that book, and was a nice nod to the history of the character.

I recently found the first half of the Ragman mini from 93. Have you found that and is it 90's crap as well? It sure looked like 90's crap to me but it only 85 cents because it's at the local half price books and comics. Ends are usually good but sometimes you want more.

I really liked the way Robinson did the Black Condor in Starman. Ever since then I've been looking for the old Golden Age Black Condor reprint book:
The Ray & Black Condor Special Edition Series by Lou Fine which contained Crack Comics 1, 2, 4, 6-19 and Smash Comics 14-30.
If you know where I can get a copy, please let me know.
