I remember reading "Dark Knight Returns" and Supes saying that everyone feared him as they were never sure how far he'd go.

Reading the thread about the Files he keeps made me wonder.

No one really knows him apart from the immediate Family.

It's always the stillest waters that run deep. The people that don't speak up sometimes are the ones that spend the most time in thought. Which I would think would describe Batman well. Maybe not "fear" but they would likely give him his space.

I would perhaps agree slightly, but in the current DC Universe i dont think there would be a universal agreement with that statement. But Batman is indeed a feared opponent.

In almost all cases in a fight even against the super powers batman would atleast get 50/50 chance of coming out on top.

The past year or so Ive really liked how he has become now. He is still the bat so you know he will do what he thinks is right but he has become something now that his ideas of whats right will probablly conflict with the other heroes and that makes him unpredictible. Coupled with the fact he always thinks two moves ahead gives him a edge.

Thats why Ive gotten into him so much lately is because he has changed and I like it.

But in the right means there arent many who can stand against him and he is only a man. But he has the brains and the will so that makes him dangerous.

Even the JLA is afraid of him, if they werent they wouldnt watch him so close. You never know what he will do next. I actually get excited reading a well written batman story now where he makes his team mates afraid of him.

I think the Joker is the most feared Villian and Batman is the most feared Hero.

I'd hate to have a run in with either of them.
