With the end of the jla story I started reading it and ollie was yelling at batman about the files he had on how to kill each of them.
When did this happen? I didnt know batman had those and it sounds like a interesting storyline, if there was one though.

During Morrison's run on the title.
I think it was called the Tower of Babel though I could be wrong... haven't read the issues in years... if I am wrong someone correct me.
Basically Ras Al Guhl stole the files and implemented them against the JLA... revealing Batman had the files drove a wedge between a lot of them.
Great story and wonderful art by Howard Porter.

Basically correct, except the story was by Waid. It was the first storyline after Morrison left the book.

Ah!
I knew it was near the end of Morrison's run, but wasn't positive he had left the book.
Thanks. :D

For the record, JLA YEAR ONE indicated that J'Onn J'Onzz had been keeping files on the Earth's metahumans at least as long as Batman had (if not longer).

In ToB, Manhunter said that he had kept "Dossiers"...just "dossiers", when he first arrived because he didn't know anyone. He said that what he and Batman had done were completely different.
Batman went further than he ever did. He only had "dossiers" but Batman had actually put those "dossiers" into plans and weaponized them. Thus he could justify being pissed but could not justify kicking Batman out of the league because he had done the same thing.
The story comes from what Morrison said in an interview. Something like "I bet Batman has ways to take down the JLA already..." and Waid put those words into a story if that tale is true.

In Tower of Babel, one of Batman's villains(I won't say who as to not ruin it for you) gets a hold of his files and takes down the JLA brutally. He doesn't use say, Kryptonite...he uses something more harsh.
Takes down Superman; The Flash; J'onn Jones; Wonder Woman...it's pretty cool.

Not using Kryptonite? What?
Talia did indeed use Kryptonite, it just wasn't natural Kryptonite.
Some of the plot devices I look back on and go "WTF?!?"

good luck, they aren't going to be cheap, an extremely popular storyline. I'm positive they have a tpb on it by now though. (tower of babel)

Oh yeah, they've had the TPB out for years now. You can find it at most book stores and some comic stores. I would recommend getting that as it also has the Secret Files issue where the show the villains in question acquiring Batman's "plans."

Also, pick up JLA Divided We Fall. It's issues 47-54. It is the follow up to Tower of Babel. Both of those stories were excellent.
