Seeing as it's your friends, I would ask this:

#1: How many other, similar games have been played? - I know this because I actually think Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior is pretty fun, yet I hadn't played a first-person shooter since Doom II. I know that the games that have come between those two can be far better, though.

#2: Do they happen to be fans of 50 Cent? Bias speaks volumes, and can forgive a lot. Just ask the people who bought any Full Metal Alchemist game.

As for myself, I have no intention of buying or playing this game.

I've read that the game was pretty bad but 50 cent fans would probably get a kick out of it. Then again, reviews are just somebody's opinion that may be drastically different from your's.

It's $30 now too so maybe that's enough for you?

Are talking about 50 Cent Bulletproof or 25 to Life here?

I've heard both games suck and I'm inclined to believe it.

Before you take your friends' word for it ask youself this Jubuka: Which do they seem to value more in a game, quality and originality or the ability to shoot police officers in the face?

Oh. I thought you meant Bulletproof.

By all means, avoid this game like Jack Thompson. Other games are far better than it, including the Ratchet & Clank series(in that case, far, far better!).

50 Cent's To Life is another "Grand Theft Auto" hack remix with the same video game cliches in the series:

Women are scantily clad
Characters swear like sailors
Once again, it's a game for all people except "Mature" audiences

Don't piss $40. That's my opinion.

How is Bulletproof a GTA ripoff? The games are almost nothing alike. Plus, GTA is a great game, while bulletproof is utter garbage. Only thing Bulletproof has going for it is presentation...but the gameplay is horrid. I've never had so much trouble aiming in a shooter in my life.

It's a rip-off in tone. It steals the extreme violence, the criminal/anti-social behavior, the extreme language and the general disrespect of females with none of the stuff that makes the GTA games fun. (For others, I'm not a big fan, though I liked GTA III well enough.)

It may not feature the same type of gameplay, but it's definately trying to appeal to the same audience.

That's like saying Call of Duty is a rip-off of Axis and Allies.

It is? You don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure out that the popularity of the GTA games has lead to the release of games like True Crime, 187 Ride or Die, the new (and singularly awful) version of Narc, 50 Cent Bulletproof or 25 to Life.

People were playing WWII board games and strategy games before video games existed. How many drive-by shooting board games you see as a kid?
