Has anyone played both games and what do you think of the game play?

I got the first game on the cheap, 2nd hand from EB, and I played it a bit on the first day I got it, and never again.

Way too repetitive.

Why will you not play it again? I played both games again and I enjoyed them.

I desperately wanted to like both of them, but I also found them repetitive, and hard to get into...too much happening on screen at once. Also, the dialogue was really stiff and pointless, and Magma's voice made me consider stabbing myself in the ears.

The second one was much better in that regard.
In 1 only Jubilee and Xavier were any good, I think.
Cree Summer did Magma, I believe, but she always sounds the same, so Alison sounded like Suzie from Rugrats...

X Men Legends II was SO good. Great Hack and Slash fun. My only complaint is the limited amount of inventory. I found myself spending way too much time managing that. Otherwise, great game.

My only experience with XML was quite similar.

I loved the first one.

I didn't get the second one though.

Yeah, it was like "SPLOSIONS!" then "argh! where am I?" before I realised that I had fell off a cliff or had been slashing wildly in the wrong direction. Maybe it's been too long since I've played an isometric/top-down action game?

Don't get me wrong. I actually quite liked it. It's just that I prefer my RPGs to be more "Morrowind" and less "Diablo".

As far as Keyboard Kommandos go: I'm not that bad. I can play console games. I'd be able to play them a tad better if they made mice and keyboards for them though :p (alhough, that wouldn't really help with XML, given the isometric viewpoint and the control scheme)
