God is so good!
Now, I'm not poor, but by no means do I live like a king. Since both of my private students stopped, I make no extra money outside of my claims processing job now. (In case you didn't know, I am a musician and had a piano student and a violin student.) So money is always a concern for me. The Bible says "be anxious for nothing," but I probably don't have to tell you that's so much easier said than done.
Anyway.
Our senior adults have a luncheon at church once a month, and I was asked to perform. I decided to perform hymns with a 'love' theme ('Love Is The Theme,' 'Love Lifted Me,' 'Jesus Loves Me,' etc.) and play my viola and play piano & sing. I never asked for money, as I just wanted to play. (I don't get to play hymns as much as I would like these days.) After the program, our senior adult pastor stood up and said, "John didn't ask for this, but I've set up a basket for a love offering for him." The contents of that basket totaled $75!!!! At that point, I told the senior adult pastor that they could invite me back whenever they wanted. :-) Still it was a blessing to receive that gift. I just wanted to share with you all.
