I do...sort of.

I collect the most Codex-y of all Space Marine Chapters. The Ultramarines.

I was looking into this again today. Every couple months I feel like starting up a collection, but then I realize how much money that'd end up costing me, and the feeling fades.

I assume -judging by your username- that you play as Chaos?

Marines and Tau mostly. Everyone and a while I'll get a bit of another army, get a little bit into it, sell it off and keep some of the bits for later. Though not so much laely with heavily rising prices.

My marines though use the chapter deviation rules to little affect beyond fluff (One unit benefits from True Grit, that's about it). As I've stated once or twice here, they're painted as Transformers. Autobot's mostly, but in an attempt to get a bit more variety I've been bringing in the Decepticons. I'd swear Prime is tougher than even a tricked out Marine Captain should be.

Used to. Played Necrons, Nurgle, Khorne, Ultramarines, Legion of the Damned, and Iron Legion at various points in time.

That about sums up my thoughts regarding 40K these days quite nicely. The worst thing is that I was never that up on the rules either, routinely bugging my friends for crap I couldn't remember. If I got back into the game, I'd need to start from the ground up as far as re-learning everything.

I havent had much of a chance to actually play it since most my friends havent gotten into it due to the prices. Nonetheless, I really like the universe and setting and all that, and thus I have collected alot of the codexes and the rulebook(both 3rd and 4th edition) as well as the 2003 and 2004 chapter approveds and the first two Imperial Armour books. I also have a little bit of the models from a few armies(Space Marines, Eldar, Imperial Guard and Orks, as well as three Tau corvettes from Battlefleet Gothic). The one that I have the most of is Space Marines, simply because them and some Eldar came in a starter set type of thing that I bought along time ago(had the 3rd ed rulebook, some SMs and Eldar, weird red ruler thing, etc). My actual favorite army is a tough call between the IG and the Orks. Still, right now I dont really have enough of any of them to have a full 1000 point army. I would probably buy more accept the price is so high. I still get the latest issues of White Dwarf magazine, but with my current money situation thats about as much 40K stuff as I can afford for now.
