For those who don't feel like reading the whole interview:
Christopher Golden: I'm just wrapping up The Borderkind, which is the second book of The Veil, then immediately heading into a very cool new project that I'm doing with Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, also for Bantam. Baltimore; Or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and The Vampire will be written by me from an outline Mike and I have done, and then profusely illustrated by Mike. We're talking more than one hundred illustrations and a cover by Mignola and a gothic alternate history horror story with all of his sensibilities intact. I can't wait to get started.
Thanks for posting it Jan.

Thanks Jan, for that great link! I agree, you gotta read the whole thing.
Chris Golden said something very interesting in discussing his trilogy in-the-works, The Myth Hunters, that may apply to the Hellboy Universe.
"Regarding The Myth Hunters, I'd say that's fairly true, though it goes deeper than that. The story begins in the real world and returns there over and over again throughout the trilogy, which is called The Veil. The thing is, on the other side of the Veil are all the creatures of folklore and legend from all of the world's cultures, or at least, the ones that have survived. But, also, there are loads of people over there, and they're those who've disappeared from this world, or their descendants. So, in addition to giants and the Sandman and Jack Frost and Kitsune and Blue Jay and Jezi-Baba, there are the offspring of Amelia Earhardt and the Mayans and the lost colony of Roanoke."
Mike Mignola and Chris have been doing a lot of collaboration on the proposed novel that Ruta spotted in her post. Because of that, I'm wondering two things. The script for the HB II movie involves the "creatures of folklore and legend." I wonder if HB is someone who "Walks Between the Veil", i.e., goes back and forth between two worlds. And if Mike is creating some loose form of continuity between the movie and the comics.
Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't know where Hellboy is in "The Island" and where he'll be in "Darkness Calls," so forgive me for saying what's obvious to everyone else-I think he went behind the Veil. Not Chris Golden's Veil-Mike's Veil. If that's true, the next 6 issue arc is going to be very cool. It will also be interesting to see if HB can cross back over again-or if he even wants to.
