I overthink everything and yet at the same time can be extremely thoughtless.
I dislike pretty much everything about myself pretty much all of the time.
While I do consider myself a victim, I usually consider myself the perpetrator. I have a tendency to blame everything that goes wrong in my life on me personally.
I am chronically indecisive. I have a fear of failure AND of success. I automatically draw away from anyone who shows interest in me. I am extremely self-centred and self-obsessed. I am lazy and a born procrastinator. I avoid anything that looks like it might turn into conflict.
And I go on and on about my personal problems all the time and bore everyone else shitless.

Years ago I worked a landscaping job on a crew with three brothers who went to a Methodist church with their born-again parents. One of the brothers was studying to be a Methodist minister. I referred to compassion as a virtue and he told me that compassion is not listed in the bible as one of the virtues so therefore is not a virtue. I argued that it is a virtuous quality by its very nature but, no. Apparently no biblical reference = not a virtue.

That's definitely my character flaw. I feel that even as I struggle and toil constantly just to survive, the things I have always longed for will forever stay out of my reach.

Hmmm...several of those things fit me. I picked "perfectionist". I'm too anal about certain things in my life.

I also fit the "playing the victim" one. I don't mean to, but sometimes I'm feeling so damn insecure and refuse to take a look at myself instead of blaming someone else for things. That brings out the whiney, needy part of me which I hate. But I am guilty of it sometimes.

"Stubborn" also fits me pretty well. Man, once I make my mind up on something, it can be hard for someone else to convince me of otherwise.
