I wanted to give a nod to Black History Month some kinda way*, but I kept thinking, "How're we supposed to choose the 'best' character... by which one was the BLACKEST?" So, no-go, there.
Howsabout vehicles in comics, cartoon, movies, sci-fi, fantasy stories? ...or has that been done to-death?

I could have just picked the Halo car that was in my avatar, but that would be boring. So I'm in with KITT, might even animate it to include the Hoff as well.
edit: OH MY GOD, my eyes! Tip: never do a google-search on David Hasselhoff. I will never look at puppies in the same way again. Non-animated for this contest.

You know, that seems to be the core problem with a lot of fans these days, the inability to casually enjoy anything.
I like discussing shows, books, and other things I like on the internet, but I'll never understand the obsessive need of some people to pore over every aspect. In the end it's just a damn tv show (or book or whatever). A lot of these obsessive fans don't even seem like they're enjoying themselves that much, which makes you wonder what the point is.

Cool!
Why can't they just release them in order though?
Not that it really matters as most of the Who serials are self-contained and it isn't really necessary to watch them in order, but it would be nice to have the option to do so.
And I still haven't gotten around to seeing the story I for some reason remember most vividly from my childhood, The Robots of Death. Baker himself, the TARDIS and that damn Elvis-looking robot are the only things I seem to remember with any clarity from my childhood viewing of the series.

Mostly because they're trying to get a variety out and can only release a certain number of discs a year. But in the end, BBC has committed to putting every story on DVD, so eventually!

The DeLorean, from Back to the Future. It takes the classic sci-fi dream of a flying car one step further: a flying car that travels through time. The ultimate pimped out ride.

This was a really tough one. We just finished the Back to the Future trilogy, this weekend, though, so I'm feelin' warm n fuzzy about the DeLorean.
That's a vote for Michael Pullman, btw.
I vote for Lubichev. The Mystery Machine is quite a ride.

That was my first time seeing a still from the movie (although I may've seen a cyclopean Hasselhoff shot, once or twice). Part of me kinda dug it.
How and when was this movie released, btw?
EDIT: 1998, it seems - http://imdb.com/title/tt0119781/

Dum Dum didn't have his moustache and wasn't called Dum Dum. That aside, the movie is a surprisingly faithful riff on Steranko-era SHIELD stories. Be warned though: you have to wade through buttloads of bad acting to get to the cool stuff.
Cei-U!

It was a close call for me, but you know, what I really loved about the Hornet's ride was where he had it GARAGED. I think the way the car used to come up from under the floor and flip around and then they'd drive it out through the secret billboard exit was the coolest thing ever. My ultimate geek dream would be to be able to own and drive around in the 1966 Batmobile, and keep it in the Green Hornet's secret garage.

What are you TALKING about?! That show was COMPLETELY realistic!

The great thing is that I was at JUST the right age for it to be cool as hell. I'm a true child of the '80's, as I LIVED for transformation sequences. The entire show I was waiting on him to change... same with Voltron, Tranzor-Z, the Transformers, the Mighty Orbots, etc.
